Armada by-the-Sea, Wildwood Crest

We travelled with our family in August 09 to this hotel. The staff at the front desk is unfriendly (beware of GINA, she is really nasty), the towels in the room had stains of blood on tem, the room was not clean, the pillow case was not changed from the previous guests and the staff is not accomodating at all. I will never return to this hotel, although we came back every year, things got really bad! Don't believe all the good reviews, this hotel is poor in quality and service (the TV image is fuzzy, the remove doesn't have batteries in it)!

My mother, my daughter and I decided to go for a quick girls weekend at the beach. We found a vacancy at this motel and gave it a try. Their were lots of families and nice clean rooms with well stocked kitchenettes that make it family friendly.

Although we only stayed here once several years ago, i'll post my review anyway. It was a pretty decent hotel. Not the best but certainly not the worst. I'll start with the good. The view is amazing - oceanfront, all rooms oceanview. The rooms are nice and spacious and pretty big - your typical effeciency (what we stayed in), front room, kitchenette, bathroom, back room. Parking is a breeze. Now the bad - when we stayed there was an awful odor of fish...all because of fresh fish the guests before us had. While this is not the hotel's fault it certainly does not give them bonus points. Also, the rooms were a bit dirty, not unbearable, but I did spot mold in a few places. Overall this is a decent place to stay, it does have it's flaws, but it's a good place to stay if the top tier hotels are booked.

I loved this place because it has a great view of the ocean. Also it is in great walking distance to the boardwalk. The sheets,towels, are always so neatly folded and the rooms are always clean and ready for a new guest. The people working at Armada By The-Sea like the maids, always have everything ready and cleaned so people on vacation can have a wonderful experience to Share and the best part is... The Armada By The-Sea helps new guests make new memories to share. It's so great that I stay there for a week every year. ENJOY!!!

The Armada was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting the typical dingy shore motel. The place was extremely clean and well kept and on the beach. What else can you ask for?

I have been staying at the Armada By-The-Sea in Wildwood Crest, NJ since I was a child. The rooms are upkept and clean and the staff is very friendly. It's oceanfront and all the rooms have a fantastic view of the ocean because the lot next to it is empty, so nothing blocks the view. There were a lot of families with children, so it has a kid-friendly environment. I would definitely suggest staying here.
