Heart of Wildwood Motels, Wildwood

This was our first time at this motel and we liked it alot! The area is great(we were there for the car show and had a great view of them lining up on street)The room was very clean and well maintained by staff daily.The heated pool was great!!All the staff was very pleasant! We had a great time and will stay there again!!

My husband had not been to Wildwood in almost 20 years and so I took him back on a spur of the moment decision. We had a blast. The staff at Heart of Wildwood was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. They did admit they are picky about who stays there. Fine by me, for the first time in I don't know how long I didn't have to hear screaming children through the wall while I am on vacation. Also it has the best location possible, you are right there at the Boardwalk. I'd recommend Heart of Wildwood to anyone.

The staff and management were very rude, made us wish we had made another choice. This is not how you want to spend your vacation. There are other great places in the area. We love the beach and will find another location. The management only cares about the money and not the service.

This will be our 4th year going to this Motel and, after being a frequent visitor for 15 years to the Jersey shore, we like it so much that, as we check out each year, we re-book for the next year automatically. The staff are the friendliest and the accomodations are excellent. We are a family of 2 adults and children 21, 17 and 11 and the location, blocks away from the Convention center, give us a great beginning to walk the boards. We feel safe and the area is quiet at night. We stay in the K unit just past the pool area. It's like a home away from home. As with most Motel locations, it seems like the beach front is a mile away, that's my only complaint. The sand is clean, as you can see the machines, early in the morning, raking and clearing debris from the surface. We are from Bayonne, NJ and it's such a nice feeling as you pull in front of the Motel, 2 and 1/2 hrs later, that you have arrived at your Summer home. Anyone who has a weekend hankering to visit the shore, make a reservation at the Heart of Wildwood. Your will never be disappointed.

I stayed here with my two children(11&6) and my brother, on relatively short notice. I have to say I have never been to Wildwood before and didn't know what to expect. It's a little ways down Ocean Ave. but compared to the other places we drove by I have to say I was quite happy that I picked this place. We stayed in Part 1. It was reasonably priced and the place was immaculate as could be for a beach location. It seemed like the staff was always doing something from cleaning to assisting us with the DVD player in our room. (It needed to be programmed.) We stayed for four nights. It was at the quieter pier of the three and we couldn't hear a thing from outside our room, great for sleeping. It is a little walk to the beach, but bring a cart or something with wheels and you'll be fine. The day came to pack and check out. We couldn't find my son's Webkins cat, which he loves. We searched the room and checked the lost and found at the front desk to no avail. We were told that if they found it they would send it in the mail. I thought it was a natural response and told my son the cat was gone. To my surprise a couple of days later there was a package in the mail. In this day and age I don't know of too many places that go above and beyond for customer service. Thanks to Mary, my son has a smile. The rooftop pool is awesome by the way! A/C in the room, and the cleanest beach. (compared to LBI) When we go back to Wildwood there is no need to stay anywhere else! WATCH THE TRAM CAR PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

One of the rudest ladies i've ever talked to in my life! An old hag! Seriously, me and my friend just tried to book a vacation with our boyfriends, she asks us our age and we tell her 21 and she says "No, I can't help you" and hung up on us. So, I call her back and she tells me (with an attitude) that they only book for families, which I know is not true. Then she tells us you have to be 25 in most places and I told her no because I'm going to PR in 2 weeks. She nastily says "well, that's PR honey". No where on their website does it say any of these things. Save yourself the agony and stay somewhere else that doesn't have a crabby 95 year old bitch for a receptionist.

This was our first family vacation consisting of two adults and three kids ranging in age from 2 to 11 and we LOVED staying at the Heart of Wildwood Motel. Centralized in Wildwood, it made for easy return trips for when the two year old got fussy and needed a nap. Extremely clean with beautiful views, and a great pool overlooking the ocean and boardwalk. Not reccomended for "partyers" however, as there is a strict policy of NO other guests allowed to visit unless they are registered in the Motel. Families seem to be the clientel AA Heart of Wildwood wants. We will return every year!

I booked a room for my first vacation in 4 years. As it turned out, the 2006 hurricane hit the coast. I checked out early and the owner refused to refund the last 2 nights of my stay, $350.00. Now, typically, the right to refuse is based on losing money for a room that would have otherwise been rented. This was not the case. There were many, many rooms available. My family had been going to this hotel for many years, which is why, at their recommendation, I chose it. This woman put her pocket first, before her guests, and lost out on years of repeat business. What a fool.

Here's the scoop. This motel demands respect(via the rules, regulations, and stipulations, and the terse tone when you call to make your reservation), earns it(I can't imagine the place any cleaner, as there is someone somewhere cleaning something), and keeps it. You may pay an extra $15 a night for this motel compared to the others around it, but the location is prime(between Ocean Ave and the Boardwalk), your vehicle is in the shade during your stay(covered parking) and the folks are glad to help you with a dinner suggestion (with a free drink coupon thrown in). There are 2 properties caddy-corner to each other, so there are 2 pools, one of which is in the shade during the afternoon. Respect the owners and they will treat you well! They have a lot of pride in their property. If you have badly behaved children, this might not be the motel for you, and may be the root cause of some bad reviews. OK, so what wasn't perfect? The beds are on the hard side, and the room we had (D) didn't really have a good place to let your wet bathing suit dry, but we put them out on our deck chairs - so if that's the worst of my complaints, why should I bother complaining?

Positives: * Clean/spotless. I am guessing that the place was recently renovated for how clean the interior and exterior was. * Friendly. Both the cleaning services and the people at the desk were very friendly and helpful. * Location. We stayed in part I, which was practically on the boardwalk. The rooftop pool in the adjacent building, is overlooking the boardwalk. One of the three amusement park piers(Morey's) were located directly across from the hotel, the other two were within a 1/2 mile. * Value. For the location, it was much less than other hotels that appeared run down. Negatives: * Room size. I am note sure what the actual size of the room was, but it was kind of tight, for the four of us(me, my wife, and two kids 4,6). Based on the two full size beds, our guess was that the room was about 14x12. * Wi-Fi. It wasn't advertised, but the wi-fi support was bad. I had to sit outside, above the office to connect.
