Montego Bay, North Wildwood

As god is my witness this has to be the worst hotel my wife and family have ever stayed at. This place is absolutely disgusting. I really don’t know where to start...I even waited a week before writing this review just to calm down. We stayed in a room (423) that was supposed to look over the indoor pool, boy was I taken for an idiot. All you get when you stay by the indoor pool is a very bad odor, lots of noise from machinery and Plexiglas that has not been cleaned in ages...ours had dried wads of gum stuck to our window sill and door threshold. Upon entering the room we were hit with the first of many different offensive odors and a dirty room. Chocolate stains on the walls and floors, white frosting on the couch from what appeared to have been a cupcake fight. Dirty carpets and old drapes with stains and holes in them. The bathroom was mold infested along the bottom of the mirror and in the bathtub. The shower curtain had mold and stains on it. Hair was everywhere, tiles were cracked and the moldings that hide the pipes to the toilet were coming away from the wall. We made them come up and bleach down the bathroom and we were hit with "boy you Americans sure are picky" This was said tongue and cheek but I did not like it. I guess that was a slight to all the French Canadians that stay there. The towels would not fit around my waist (I am a 38 waist) the towels looked more like bath mats and were thin and worn. The shower drain was clogged and you had to stand in 4 inches of water the sink had no stopper. Ever look at a sink with no stopper while you brush your teeth, see if it doesn’t make you gag. At night when trying to sleep all you here is the air conditioner from the room above you and it’s loud as heck. I still don’t know where the music was coming from. The whole room was a dump and I paid over 300 hundred a night. My room was in the newer section of the hotel and the floor was crocked and bumpy...our carpet was laid over concrete with no underlying mat with dips and valleys...the hallways were crocked also..Very strange...patch marks and holes were common in the hallways. This hotel is too big for what they want to do...Only 2 elevators that are small, hot and smell real bad. The elevator up front is useless if you stay in the back of the hotel cause anything above floor 4 u still have a small set of stairs to climb so forget that at checkout. That leaves on elevator for everyone at check in and checkout plus all the staff have to use the same elevator. I asked the staff and to a tea each one said they need their own elevator. They want you to check out by 10 am..Ya ok right...Try it with one elevator and maybe 5 luggage carts for the whole place and maids trying to use the same elevators with their carts. To top it all off the lady at the front desk when I checked out said..”Your all set” she never looked up and never made eye contact and in hindsight that was probably the best thing that happened to us because I was going to let her know about everything, I just walked out.. She was a real peach let me tell you....Not one person I spoke with will be back at this dump. Why we ever tried this place when we always enjoyed the American Inn is beyond us..Live and learn but you have a chance not to make the same mistake. Al Russo Room 423

Pool was OK and the kids enjoyed that. But just about everything else about the hotel was awful. Where can I start... Furniture was old; mattresses and pillows were lumpy, stained, and so disgusting that they should have been thrown out years ago; curtains, towels, etc. were stained (even the "fresh" towels). Sheets had holes in them. Blankets/comforters were gross. Bathroom appeared to have been wiped, but wasn't really clean (black spots all over the floors; shower curtain was stained). Air quality in room was poor. Strong smell of cigarette smoke and other stuff (according to front desk, smoking isn't permitted in room). Room was not vacuumed or dusted when we first arrived -- there were thick layers of dust on the carpet and many surfaces. Wasn't really cleaned during our stay, either. Room service spent possibly 10-15 minutes (they fixed the beds and changed the towels); we ended up cleaning the room (wiping counters and picking stuff off the floor) after room service had finished, just to be able to stay there. Overall, it just felt awful to be in the room. In terms of cleanliness and service, this was the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in, and honestly, I wouldn't go back there to stay if I was paid to.

We got the superior ocean view room which had 2 bedrooms( one with a king bed and the other with two doubles and a pull out sofa bed) I am the oldest kid (13) and i stayed with my little brother and sister and my dad and his mom( my mom had to stay home this weekend. So the waterpark now has 2 slides now which are good but they put way to much chlorine in it that everybody was coughing the second day that we had to leave the area( thats how bad it was) the third day it was freezing in there because they had to open the windows to get the fumes out. Also theres so much cholorine that u can see it sticking to u. When we got in the room (319) the first thing that was disgusting was the comforter, it was purple and brown and had stains under it( in all beds, the sheets were fading and had holes in it! the pillows cases were fine but u don't even want to look at the pillows! The carpet was fairly old and the flatscreen tV and the porch were probaly the best things. The bathrooms had no soaps and shampoo so we had to go to the CVS and get it. The room smelled fair but when it rained it smelled like mildew. I just slept on the love seat because thats the only thing i would have slept on. It sure did look like it would had bedbugs in the beds. check in and check out were quick but my dads mom was there so we had to wait 10 mins for the elevator. I would go for a daytrip for the waterpark but not stay in a room.

I was just at this hotel with a group. As in some of the reviews, NO room had bed bugs! I did find that most of the dishes in the cupboads were very dirty, and didn't use them. The beds need new mattresses, they felt like you were sleeping on the floor! The pillows are old and need replaced, if you look at them under the pillowcases you will not sleep on them, that is how stained they are! The sheets and the blankets also need replaced, they sheets are so thin you can see threw them (by the way we were there for 5 days and the sheets won't changed once), the blankets and bedspreads had blood stains on them, and other spots that we didn't want to know what they were. The meal they gave the group was 1/2 of what was on the menu! I ordered french toast got 2 pieces of both bacon and french toast, and someone came in off the boardwalk and got 4 pieces of french toast and about 6 pieces of bacon! The bar was only open on Sunday night so you couldn't get a drink, and couldn't find anything open in the area! The restaurant also wasn't open for lunch, and since alot of the places was close you had to settle for Pizza! All in all would say I won't go back there.

Well, it sounded like a good place. Price was over $200 / night, so it should be nice, right? Room wasn't ready at check in. Waited 2 hours to walk into a "clean" room. The first thing we noticed was the short beds, meaning close to the floor and short double beds. So, I pulled back the bed sheets and both beds were DIRTY --- never changed, just straighted up! OK.... I called front desk. I asked for a different room, because we were not comfortable. He said no, so the beds were remade within 4 hours. These beds were aweful, if you like to sleep on a rock, this is the motel for you. The couch was also really close to the floor and uncomfortable. The carpets were decent. The kitchen was decent. The tv was decent. However, there are 2 tvs, 1 tv in the living room has full digital cable and the tv in the bedroom has like 20 channels. I asked front desk and they said that's how it is. No Free WiFi, had to pay! OK..... THE INDOOR POOL.......Nice Idea. The kids had a ball. But could be CLEANER! Not a good idea with alge growing EVERYWHERE!Don't let the pictures trick you, the indoor pool is small! The hotel staff at check in was friendly. Housekeeping was nice. Maintenance staff was really friendly. YES had to call Maintenance because of the Laundry room machine took my money. Staff at check-out was nice. Manager was Nice. OVERALL- Sorry Not Returning! Too many negatives!

My family has been going to Wildwood for like seven years and I've been going to Montego Bay for like 3. I really like it and I'll be going there more often. If you're looking for a hotel that's close to the beach, has a good family-friendly waterpark, and is worth the time going to it, I recommend the Montego Bay Hote!!!!!!!!!

I went to this hotel which looks beautiful on its website, but in reality it was DIRTY. The blankets we were given had holes in them, the silverware and dishes that come in every room had food on them because they were never cleaned prior to us coming. I actually came back to my room because I forgot something and they were straightening up the room but the odd part was the door was locked. So I had to unlock my door with my key and found them in there cleaning. I thought when they clean your room it was mandatory to leave the door wide open so you know they are there. It just was a nasty place to stay

My family has been going to Wilwood ever since I was a child. We use to stay at Shore Plaza Hotel, but since the fire we were searching for a nice place to stay. Then we found Montego Bay. We love this hotel. The room we get is large enough for My family of 5 and my parents and sister. It is awesome that we can all be comfortable in one room. My children love the water slide and indoor pool. We love the close walk to the ocean!!

The Hotel was right on the beach, they kept the rooms very clean, personnel were very friendly. We had the ocean right at our doorstep. I would reccomend this hotel to everyone it is also very affordable. Loved it

We spent about $700 on a 3 night, 4 day hotel stay over this past Memorial Day weekend. That may not sound like a great deal per night, but the package was so worth it. It included a great, hot breakfast every morning (for a family of 4, that was easily a $25-$30 value per day). It included a great dinner in Adam's Restaurant one night (easily a $60 value). It included pizza one night at the Pizza shop beneath the hotel and it was the best pizza I've eaten in a long time (a $15 value). The best part of the package was the Silver Bullet boat road that was included which we loved and saw a lot of dolphins (a $86 value). It also included a round of miniature golf ($24 value), ice cream ($12), and a bike ride one morning (we upgraded to a 4 seater, that cost us only $6). That was like having a free $300. The waterpark was great, the kids loved it. The outdoor pool was nice and surprisingly warm. Other than the elevators (could use a couple more) & beds (little on the hard side), the hotel was great! The staff was very nice and friendly.
