Exquisite meals but room could use a facelift

My husband and I traveled here for our anniversary. I have to say that the grounds are beautiful and food is exquisite. The room and some of the exterior needs repairs/renovations. I noticed lightbulbs out and on our balcony some of the wood had broken/rotted on the railing and appeared somewhat unsafe. The bathroom had a broken bidet. I would recommend the restaurant (5 stars) but the room I would give 2.5 - 3 stars (out of 5). Overpriced.

Great Location, Disappointing Stay

The location of the Meander Inn is fantastic, set in the middle of horse and wine country. The grounds are wonderful, highly recommend strolling around them. The room was very nice, very appropriate for the history of the Inn. Very disappointed that the fireplace, and shower did not work. Even more disappointed when I was still charged $$$ prices for the room. The Inn's scheduling needs work, an anniversary surprise was spoiled when the Inn left a message at home after instructions to the contrary. They had also double booked the dinner reservations the first night so we had to eat in the room (which was fine) but were not given any selection in the dinner menu (which was unsatisfactory). Overall a nice place but not worth the high costs.
