We had a most pleasurable stay

My wife and I were thrilled when we saw the
beautiful accomodations at La Maison Louie.
The historic house was built between 1830 and
1850, and it as been meticulously restored.
The guests stay in a suite consisting of a
living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The
living room and bedroom are furnished with
carefully selected antique furniture to made me feel that I was traveling back in time. The bathroom contained a modern shower and was well-supplied with everything one could want. The living room had a TV set, telephone, and refrigerator. We were served a very good breakfast each of the four mornings of our stay.
The bed had a very good mattress and my wife
and I both slept soundly on it. The house
is close the the street at a corner with a
traffic light, so occassionaly we heard some
traffic noise at night, but not enough to
be annoying. The owner of the Bed and Breakfast was a very lovely person who made us feel right at home there. She cheerfully saw to all of our needs. I do not hesitate to recommend this to other people, and we plan to stay there when we visit St. Martinville again.
