Had a Terrific Stay!!
By Mary, 08/23/09
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a family vacation. We really enjoyed our stay here all the bad reviews really had me worried but it wasnt even close to the reviews. The staff was very helpful when we needed the help. The location and scenery was out of this world. If you are on limited money this place works great!!

Close to shopping, clubs, dining, 7 eleven across the street, and Main st. for $85 a night, oceanfront room, you cant go wrong! We will be gonig back for sure! thanks Val, see again soon!

Not likely to return
By JM, 02/05/08
The check in service was fine except that paying w/credit card from reservations made online, they knew I was travel- ing with three small children. Did not offer extra towels, cups, etc. Also, did not ask if I needed phone or that the phone was off. On phone, rates were different than office person explained the next morning. Also, asked for ground floor room but was given second floor. Made one phone call for less than a minute in the 386 area code, which is the same as Day- tona beach ac, to a cell phone, (daughter on beach), and the cost was $5.51! Also, rate quoted for motel does not include $3 a day for parking in hotel lot by guests! Mildew above a/c and bathroom above tub. Dirt in corner/floor crevices. Housekeeping lax about taking and cleaning up trash on morning after arrival, or leaving us any more cups to use. Water was contaminated and non drinkable. Advised we could bath, but swim in pool at own risk! Last, rates and taxes notice with check out time, was removed the morning after arriving. Isn't this illegal?

WE PAID NOT TO STAY HERE!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/06
IF YOU DO MANAGE TO FIND THIS PLACE, I ASSURE YOU, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.AFTER YOU LOOK AT THE ROOM AND DECIDE YOU WILL NOT STAY THERE, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE ROOM ANYWAY. I STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU LOOK AT THE ROOMS IN PERSON BEFORE MAKING RESERVATIONS. THIS PLACE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMODELED APPROX.20 YEARS AGO.MY FAMILY AND I WERE TRUELY DISAPPOINTED WITH WHAT HAPPENED TODAY! HOPE YOU HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Cleaned Up Their Act
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/05
Hate to say it, but the best thing that happened to this place in when Hurricane Charley creamed it last year and it was remodeled. Good or bad, you'll find the following: 1. Larger than normal rooms. 2. 2 large beds in most rooms. 3. A smallish bathroom with tile work from the 50s to keep you amused (but it's clean). Vanities were removed in the remodeling (see below) but I found it funny that the porcelain toothbrush and soap holders are still attached to the wall -- sort of odd since the vanity disappeared. 4. Where the kitchenettes use to be in some units, they have now been replaced with a full length vanity and mirror and a small refrigerator with microwave. Sort of odd since the bathroom is a good distance away from the vanity. Also, the light switch for the vanity area is at the front door, a good 10 to 12 feet away. 5. The only bad thing was the lack of immediate hot water. It takes a good minute or two to get hot water sufficient to take a shower. This indicates a bad central boiler. Staff was helpful and 24 hour security was ever present. You could do a whole lot worse (see my posted on the Seaview Manor).
