While on a group theater visit to london and we stayed at this hostel. First impressions were good, looked clean, but then we got to the room. 112. The room looked shabby and slightly unclean. The beds were very, very uncomfortable. They also looked as if they were going to fall apart. The meal was sausage casserole and was very horrible, made me feel very sick.
The night was sleepless as the beds were too uncomfortable. Also the room was small and not too much to be liked at the hostel. The Room was far from comfortable. The location was also very bad and there was no place for the coach to drop off outside without a walk.
Overall the breakfast was resonably ok but slightly bad. The toast was slightly soggy.
As the title suggests I couldn't wait to get away. If you are thinking about staying at the YHA Thameside i'd strongly disagree and would go as far as to say, Stay At Your Own Risk! Not Nice At All.
There are plenty of other hostels in the area so i'd say to stay at one of them. Overall it is your desicion but judging on what I have experienced, you'd have to pay me a substancial amount to go back!
PS: At Breakfast, If you want a hot drink, Be prepared to pay 50P!
