just like in horror movies!
By ,
i am a medical student and i stayed there because i was rotating at a hospital near by the entire week. the first and only night that i stayed there was horrible! behind the fridge small bugs started crawling out. the ceiling was broken and the corners on the floor were split open as well. the room smelled really old and rustic. the owner is not clean and is a bit disrespectful. the bathroom was old fashioned and the table cloth on the table was dirty. the floor was clean around the bed but not under the bed. the bedsheets were so thin i had to sleep with long pajama pants, two t shirts and my sweater. to culminate my awful night, the light went out for about 30 min. thank goodness that my mom had packed a small flashlight. you could even hear weird things around the room while trying to sleep. the next day my mom changed me to Passion Fruit Bed and Breakfast. now thats a hotel!!!!!!! the owner is so nice and its really big. anchor's inn is not even worth FREE.

Run away...run away!!!!!!!!
By ,
My husband stayed here for two nights recently. The cruddy lamp in the room had electical tape around the cord. At 7am my first morning I woke up and stepped on it by accident. Sparks flew, the cord jumped, and I had a small black hole in my foot. My hub and I went down for a beer that afternoon to tell her and she just took the lamp, no apology, no free round of beers. Our first night we went to the restaurant, food is mediocre at best. We ordered apps, then salads, then entrees. After 50-60 minutes our entrees came out...we never saw the first two courses. The lady was supposed to book a room for my brother who joined us the second night....she even got my credit card number and said she would charge the first night of each room. She said we were mistaken and my brother/his girlfriend ended up staying in our room. It really is a dumpy hotel. I slept clothed. I would have spent the extra $30 to stay at the Fajardo Inn Hotel but it was booked. Don't come here. I am not a snob, I have travelled to many countries and stayed in a full gamut of places, but this one was really offensive.

Cheap, but still overpriced
By ,
The Anchor Inn is not even worth the $60-70 you might pay for a room. I have stayed in nicer hostels for $5/night. My husband and I stayed here one night of our honeymoon in Puerto Rico, and by far it was the worst accommodations we had on the island. I would only recommend the Anchor Inn in a pinch, and if you were willing to sleep fully dressed, nothing about it seemed clean to me.
