Small and nice hotel

Just got home from two nice weeks at Bali. It was our first visit to Bali and we enjoyed our staying in this beautiful part of Indonesia. Altought it was a bit sad to see the lack of tourists, many restaurants were almost empty night after night even though it was high season. But tourists are coming back to Bali again but it´s not going fast.
The people at Bali are so nice and friendly.
We stayed at Sativa Sanur Cottages, a small hotel with only 50 rooms. The rooms are situatid in cottages, four in each cottage. The cottages are surounding the very nice and beautiful pool. Around the pool is also the garden with a lots of flowers, palmtrees, bougaville and fishpounds. It´s so beautiful even though its not very big.
We got a very nice room with a big balcony facing the pool. What we liked with this balcony was that the furnitures were mad out of wood (with a marble teable) and NOT plastic which is so commen on most hotels, including luxury hotels.
The room was very spacies, bright, nicly furnitured, comfortable beds and very high up to the cealing. The bathtub was the biggest we´ve ever have had, nicly made out of stone. There was a refridgerator in the room so yuo could keep things cool in the room. There were no minibar but we seldon use that so we didn´t miss it. It was much better with the refridgerator so you could by and keep whatever you wanted there.
The room was also very clean and we got new sheets and towels every day, allso fresh complimentary mineral water every day.
Breakfast was not very big but we got what we wanted. There were so many people working at breakfast, sometimes there were moore staff than guests. They had one taking care of the toasts, one egg/omelette chef, one noodle and bacon cook, one pancake cook and one taking care of the fruit. 2-4 took care of the tables, serving tea and coffee. The people in the restaurant were so nice and service minded. We also had lunch a coupple of time at the restaurant and the food was very nice and priceworth.
All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpfull, always with a smile at their face. You really could feel that they wanted you to enjoy staying at Sativa.
That includes the reception staff who also were so nice and took care ouf you in a friendly way.
The hotel is not fare from the beach and it´s close to shops and restaurants. We can especilly reccomend the restaurang "Casa luna" which served really good food. Don´t miss their seafood basket or traditional pork satay. The hotel is located at the end of a small road so you don´t hear any traffic, alt least we didn´t.
This is a hotel that we really can recomend to everyone if you´re going to visit Sanur !
