A great hotel that easily outclasses rivals
The staff at the Mentari Sanur are absolutely superb and even those that only understand a few words of English, are always ready to give a wave, a big smile or a friendly greeting. We arrived late at night (11.30 pm) and were pleasantly pleased to see the manicured lawns and beautiful bougainvilleas that bordered the lighted path to our pool view room. The room was comfortably spacious, clean and the helpful staff provided a complimentary cot for our 1 year old daughter. The king size bed was very supportive and the split system airconditioning was whisper quiet through the night, making sleeping a breeze. The rooms do not have any tea or coffee facilities but it is easy enough to track down an electric kettle at one of the local shops.
Indonesian, continental or American breakfasts are available at the restaurant which comfortably hold around 30 guests. We found that the local cafes provided an excellent choice and quality of food at exceptional value. The hotel is an easy stroll to the beach and the nearby Sanur Beach Markets in which you'd be hard pressed not to find something to buy.
