Not Near Trains, Good Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/08
There are good, OK & ugly qualities about this accommodation. Let's begin with the good then we can slap later :-).
GOOD - its good value for money, the rooms are cleaned everyday.
The breakfast though not buffet style provides a good range from a selected a-la-carte menu. The food in the chinese & noodle breakfasts is better or equivalent to what I've tasted in some of the better dim sim restaurants in Australia. Only problem with the chinese or noodle breakfast, it comes only with chinese tea or coffee, no orange juice.
Orange juice & coffee are served with the western breakfast. Great coffee!! As for the orange juice, its' freshly squeezed - a big plus!!
Receptionists at the hotel are really helpful, obliging, smiley and knowledgeable of their local surroundings ie. where to catch the bus, where to walk etc.
OK - Bathrooms in room is extremely small. The green walls make it feel its not clean but it is!
UGLY - its a good 20mins+ reasonably paced walk to the Prince Edward MTR. Walk is not bad if you stop along the shops. Or a 10 mins reasonably paced walk to the East Mongkok KCR (subway). Get ready those walking shoes! Recommend -take the longer walk to the MTR, its easier to change lines and less train transfers required.
