Worst Hotel
It was one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever encountered. We arrived from a long flight from Los Angeles and tried to check into the hotel around noon. We had a group of 9. The hotel staff told us that our rooms would not be ready until 2 pm. We were okay with that and went off to kill time. We came back at 2 pm and the staff told us that the people who were suppose to check out have not checked out yet. So we decided to wait in their "waiting area" until we realized it was part of their bar area. We waited for 5 hours. Each hour passed and we saw people coming in and checking into their rooms. We kept wondering what the heck was happening since we arrived first. We kept going up to the counter and they kept saying they didn't have our rooms ready. Apparently, there were rooms ready and we weren't in it! It was getting close to dinner time and since we didn't have our rooms yet, we went out to get snacks. We came back with the snacks and were rudely told by hotel staff "on duty" that we could not eat in their bar area. We rudely told the staff then "get us our room and we'll be out of your hair." After 5 hours of waiting, one of us decided to talk to the staff again. Finally, one room was ready. Out of 5 rooms we needed. So one of us checked in. However, we realized the rest of us had to keep waiting. The worst part was, the staff knew we were waiting for a long time and nobody came us to tell us that our rooms were ready until each one us went up to the counter. So we were checked in one at a time. A manager did not come out to apologize. When we finally got into our rooms, there was a construction crew outside our windows. Construction was also happening between floors 1-4. We were on floor 5 and we could clearly see, hear, and feel the construction. It was also my wedding reception the next few days. We were gathering around the lobby waiting for our ride to the restaurant with our party favors on the floor. We were asked by the hotel staff, while my husband and I were in our wedding gown and suits to move our belongings. Absolutely deplorable. The manager finally did apologize. But this case warranted a complete money back or compensation. None of which we received.
