Hotel Foresta, Santiago

I lived in northern Chile for 7 years and during one of my many trips to Santiago a taxista (taxi driver) recommended Foresta. I tried it out and just kept on returning there. It's a small place with the feel of a European pensión. There is a lovely restaurant on the top floor (maybe the 8th floor) that overlooks the park. Food and service are good! The location is also great - right down the road from many of the sights (Museo de Bellas Artes, parks, central market, downtown area, palacio, correo, etc - all close by). The price can't be beat! I am returning to Chile after being back in the States for 4 years - I'll be checking in with them yet again!
