The Maple House calls itself the Maple Beach B&B on its own website; that's one of many deceptions. The pictures in the virtual tour are outdated and show the "accommodations" much better than they are. The odor in the entry was awful. Two adults could not store suitcases and clothes in the White Room, the road noise was disturbing, and the floor creaked. The lighting was a single ceiling bulb. When we switched to the green room, only the space got better. The drain was clogged, shower ran hot/cold and had mildew, and the TV remote volume was inoperative. Power/cable wires tangled the floor between the bed and window, causing a tripping hazard with the lights out. Tim, the proprieter was detached. Breakfast consisted of toast and a slice of cataloupe, except when we got under-microwaved eggs with cheese on top. The upstairs deck rail was rickety and dangerous and the parking was indadequate. Oh, and the internet computer tended to freeze. We had our three-night reservation months in advance in anticipation of a quaint abode, but were crest fallen. Avoid this place.
