Very nice room for the money
By ,
My two teenagers and I stayed for one night while visiting friends in Barrie. We were quite impressed with the size of the room and the quality of the furnishings. The TV was a bit small, and a guide to the channels (either on screen or on paper) would have been nice. The bathroom was luxurious and had plenty of towels. I was a bit surprised to see only a shower, but none of use a tub, so it wasn't an issue for us. The kids thought the separate light over the shower was neat. We tried the recreation centre, with its pool table, Internet stations, and snack machines. It was all fine. We looked at the pool, which seemed a bit small to me, but didn't have time to use it. I was surprised that there did not appear to be a restaurant on site; it's a long drive to anywhere with food. The room did have a kitchenette though, which was well-stocked with dishes and utensils. The room cost us quite a bit less than a smaller, shabbier room in another hotel in Bracebridge, so I can't complain.

Extremely poor service!!
By ,
After being awoken by a drunken neighbour on both nights of our stay (through paper-thin walls), being verbally assaulted by the same drunken neighbour despite calling security, and staying in a room that did not even have a bathtub, we left feeling more exhausted than when we arrived. At 8 months pregnant I was looking to relax and have one last getaway with my husband, but this was not the experience. Despite discussing this with management, they were unwilling to refund any part of our stay, instead offering us a one night voucher for another stay. Since we live 3 hours out of town, are expecting a baby, and had such a bad experience, this offer in no way makes up for the experience. Don't stay here if you want to relax - the walls are paper-thin and security will not do anything until you call three times!

Great March Break
By ,
We spent our March break (6 nights) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have stayed in some nice hotels and this resort ranks up there with the best. We are a family of 5 and the 2 bedroom suite was perfect. The separate studio (part of the same unit) was great for the boys - they thought is was "cool". We enjoyed the rec centre and walks on top of Horeshoe. The unit we stayed in had direct access to Horeshoe Valley Resort with good skiing and great snow. We had a great week and really enjoyed taking the chairlift back to our unit at the end of each day. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Experience
By ,
This weekend my family and I spent the weekend at Carriage Ridge Resort with another couple and their daughter and we had an amazing time. There's things to do for all ages and the service there is wonderful. The suites are elegent and definitely worth the money. It's an experience that you will never forget. Mount St. Louis is about a 10 minute drive from the Resort and HorseShoe Valley is about a 2 minutes drive, everything you need is close by. I definitely recommend this resort for anyone who wants to have a good time. Well worth the money!

Just waiting for snow
By ,
This is a great location and we really enjoyed our stay there. It is a timeshare location, but it offers great flexibility. Local hiking trails offer wonderful fall walks.
