Perth offers better options

The Garden Room costs 150/night. This was over priced, particularly as there was no electricity in my room. Ralph Hughes (the host) did not offer an explanation for what had occurred, did not give me a candle, an extra duvet/blanket and did not feel the need to apologise for this inconvenience or to offer a refund, considering. He simply told me the electrician would arrive the following day and left me in the dark - literally. I have lodged a complaint with the relevant authorities. He is too old and grumpy to be running a BnB.

Would thoroughly recommend!

Swanbourne Guest House is quiet, relaxing venue, efficiently run by Ralph, the owner. We found accommodation and facilities were clean, pleasantly stylish and as described. The Guest House was well placed for use of the beach, and there are shops and places to eat in nearby Claremont. There is a regular and cheap rail service near by, running into Perth in one direction and to Freemantal and beyond in the other. We chose to use the kitchen facilities on offer to cater for ourselves some days and Ralph provided breakfast each day breakfast we more than adequate for our needs. Great to be able to use the laundry facilities during our 13 day stay and we were made to feel very much 'at home'. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certain stay with Ralph again.
