Haus Wartenberg, Salzburg

Haus Wartenberg provides each guest with warm, friendly, back-home service. It has a 17th century ambience, both in physical appearance and the generous and kind hospitality. It is a refreshing step back in time from the rush of today's world. We look forward to our stay at Haus Wartenberg in the spring and fall every year.

I booked this property to have a change from the typical hotel room, and to experience the Austrian atmosphere and ambience - I wasn't disappointed. My daughter and I had a twin room which was most adequate; plenty of room, the beds were clean and comfortable (the pillows a bit flat but you could get others) with the most devine comfy duvet covers. The bathroom was clean with an excellent shower and a good size, as having travelled throughout Italy prior to Salzburg, this was a real treat!! Easy walking along clean, safe streets to the centre of Salzberg, therefore perfectly located, with a grocery store within walking distance also. Only had one dinner in the restaurant which was delicious, but note: like most shops / businesses in Austria, their restaurant closes on a Sunday for lunch and dinner. Staff very efficient, frienldy and hospitable.....I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
