Hotel Casona del Patio, Bogota

This is a great little hotel. it was located in a great part of town; it managed to be nestled between nice houses, giving it a homey feel, and at the same time was a short walk to bars, banks, and a mall. Basically, a pretty happening part of Bototá. The service was great, and the staff was more than willing to help me with arranging tours, and transportation. They even helped me buy a gift for a friend in Bogotá. Also, breakfast is included, with the guest choosing from one of ten entrees, ranging from Colombian arepas (think pancakes, but more savory than sweet) and passion fruit, to french toast. Juice and hot chocolate included. The room was cozy and well-cleaned daily. There is a lot a natural lighting, which is always refreshing, and each of the rooms is lightly themed after a different tourist attraction in Bogotá, which makes the place feel a little more personal than a standard high rise hotel (which is what the place seems to be shooting for). In conclusion, I was very happy with this hotel. I think the relaxed atmosphere allowed me to meet several other travelers staying here, which made for a pleasant experience. WiFi included, of course.

We were made to feel welcome from the second we arrived. They took care of everything from booking safe taxi's to arranging sight seeing. Our reason for going to Bogota was to establish safe areas for business people. We can without reservation recommend the Casona del Patio Amarillo to anyone wishing to experiance this wonderful city. La Casona is a recently renovated house. Each of 14 rooms is different, but art posters and colorful outfits lend an inviting atmosphere to all of them. All of the rooms are clean and safe.
