Royal Solaris Cancun, Cancun

I have to be fair, other than the front desk people, the staff is great. When I booked my rooms about three months prior to our arrival, I asked for adjacent rooms. Initially was offered rooms a floor apart.Took a bunch of talking to finally get rooms on the same floor. When it rains, water was dripping on both beds, took their maitence dept 4 hours to get to our room, switch mattresses and move the beds against the wall. The cleaning people are awesome and their entertainment hosts have a great attitutude. If you are traveling w kids, their kids club is totally awesome, only if they would show customer service to the front of the house and maintain their building, I would highly recommend this place. PS, pepsi as well as mixed drinks are watered down

The hotel was not in good repair. The tub/shower leaked water everywhere. There was mold. The cleaning was poor. Jets in the hot tub do not work. If you have a handicap, forget staying here. There were steps everywhere!!! The hotel is big in the time share business. A much better place to visit is Tulum. If you are looking for better beaches and less developed area, book your hotel there. We will never go back to the Royal Solaris, and are fairly certain we will not stay in Cancun again. The Hotel did have some good points. The food and the entertainment were good. We had to check out at 11 and the pick up time for the airport was 1:30. We were welcome to use the pool, resturants, bar etc until we left. We always enjoy our vacations and this one was still enjoyable, but we wish we had spent the extra money and went somewhere nicer.

I thought the royal salaris was awesome. my room was great and the service was reliable and efficient. i dont think its the kind of place for kids but adults will love it. plenty of events and the bars are always stocked. i do agree with what other people said about the food. it wasnt great and it was the same thing over and over again. beside that and the fact that my room was very far from the main desk, my vacation was a blast. my bed was also pretty hard. one side note. i read a comment that said the hotel was filled with toxic fumes. i didnt smell any fumes but i did have a sore throat when i left.

This was my seventh time at this resort and each time it gets better. the food is good and they keep the pools clean. You have a choice of which pool you want to be in. Royal tower pool has swim up bar and it is none stop entertainment from 10am-5pm. If you want a more quite atmosphere or have small kids you can go to family pool at RS caribe. The staff and entertainers do what it takes to make your vacation a memoralble one. I was here May 06 and they were still working on the royal tower. when I came back in Aug royal tower was done. This place is awesome for a 3 star resort it should easily be a 4. If you want to have a great time I highly recomend this resort. I just booked my vacation at RS for the 8th time and will be here 8/21-8/28 2007. hope to see you.

the hotel was the worst in all of 15 years going to cancun, the daily buffet was the same food everyday over cooked and tasteless. the bar was always overcrowded and no airconditioning. the food staff and bar staff was fine,but deskand mangement staff was not helpful,made appointments for spa and staff cancelled them.Overall my family made are vaction enjoyable not the hotel gus p

Me and my wife got sick from breathing in TOXIC SMOKE from the building ventalation into our room. We got sore throats and felt very sick the entire time. They kept spraying scents to mask the toxic smoke. We finally figured it out but it was too late. When we were departing the hotel we saw a family begging for a room change because their room was full of toxic smoke and their kids were coughing in it.

The Royal Solaris was clean. We stayed there for four nights. We stayed in the tower. It was a long walk to the main entrance and restaurants. The food was fair. The breakfast was the best meal. The dinner buffet was not very good, it would be the same stuff. No new desserts were the same pies meal to meal. We have a 13 year old and there was nothing for her to do. To much drinking for children to be around. The best thing we did on our trip was the Jungle Tour. But that was all. The beach and ocean were very pretty but the ocean was ruff. To far from town, you could not walk it. No stores close by for food or drink. Will not be back.

If you get All-Inclusive service here, its the paradise on earth. People are so nice, food is perfect, 100 % natural, eat every second and whatever you dream, 46 swimming pools with 8 restaurants, it is amaizing !!!!! We would gladly return there at any time. Probably will be back in a couple of months. Outstanding services, location, fun for kids , parents, shows evey night, dance, kids-club, etc.... Thank you for the best services, Royal Solaris management and people !!!!!
