I was really impressed with the hotel overall. There were activities going on all day long. Wether it was areobics classes in the pool for those who like to excersise in the morning or late night shows held in the auditorium for the evening people and the bars were always lively. The one thing you can't go wrong with is the all inclusive package. All you eat all you can drink is the best. The hardest part about that is keeping up with the time schedule. You have to be in the restaurants at certain times and the only reason that is hard to do is becuase there is so much going on either in the hotel or any excursions you might want to go to. But the drinking is all day long!! If I remember correctly, the bars are open 24/7. No complaints about that! The only thing that we got cheated on was the fact that we never got our complimentary fruit basket. When we initially made the reservation we were told by our travel agent that we would be receiving a fruit basket in our room. Well, we never got it even after asking for it a couple of times. No big deal but still, we should have received it. Another thing was that we reserved an ocean view room. They made us show proof of the reservation where it stated we had reserved an oceanview. Fortunately we had all of the paperwork the travel agent had given us. If we would did not have that paperwork I believe we would have been cheated out of the oceanview even if it was already paid for it. So just be heads up! Overall an I give this hotel an A.

We have been to Cancun 10 times and have stayed at the Melia Turquesa 4 of those last 5 trips. It is a great hotel with a great staff. All of the staff go out of their way to help make your stay an enjoyable one. Our 2 favorite bell men were Alejandro and Julio Ceasar. The food was very good, especially breakfast....The Melia is very centrally located in the hotel zone. It is in walking distance to the La Isla and Flamingo Shopping Malls. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, and don't be afraid to take it to the downtown area. A trip to Cancun is not complete without going to Perico's in downtown Cancun. What a wonderful Mexican Restaurant and what a great time to be had while in there. Ernesto is the best waiter in there and he will be sure to make you laugh and enjoy yourself while there. We can't wait to go back again.
