Mariners Resort Villas & Marina, A Keys Caribbean Resort, Key Largo

We rented a 1 bdroom, 2 bath unit for 4 nights and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Well appointed and furnished, almost too quiet in off season, but very restful. Yeah, there were a few minor things that weren't perfect, but we enjoyed the villa and amentities very much. Unit we had included a beautiful patio with built in tiki bar w/grill, o/s shower, wicker table & chairs, sofa and chairs.

Our units were beautifully decorated. The hot tub grotto was breathtaking and a great time. There are two pools and they're well maintained. We had a few minor problems-no phone service, a broken tv, no service people to answer questions (luckily we didn't have any major situations)..because we would have been out of luck. It was a quiet and relaxing. It was disappointing that there was no restaurant or lounge onsite. The only view was the a/c units...a little disappointing..although we didn't spend too much time inside anyway. We had a BBQ onsite and it was fantastic! We rented jetskis nextdoor and that was a nice convenience. Snorkeling and such was also available. All in all it was a nice place. Key Largo is mostly a fishing community and all the vacation type activities are south of there. It was a nice drive though and not a big deal. There are some great seafood restaurants closeby..Snappers, The Fish House, The Conch House and Hobos. Each had fresh "catch of the day" and a big variety to choose from. Nice dining experiences.

We have stayed for one night in one bedroom unit. "great" view of monster A/C unit. The place was dirty, falling appart, wires hanging from missing fire alarm, broken blinds, broken curtain rod....all in all just awful and we could not wait to get out of there in the morning...As for the staff: when we complained, that there is no running water in the morning, their response was : well, what do you want me to do about it? I think all this could have been overlooked in a cheap motel...but not at $ 250 per night. p.s. I have pictures to prove all this

Employees are the best! New pool is fantastic! Location is ideal! Clos to Miami and Theatherof the Sea ! Best for me! I will be back soon !!!
