Swissotel Istanbul, Istanbul

Although this hotel is one of the most luxuriuos hotels of istanbul along with the ritz carlton and ceylan intercontinental,but I'll never book in it again. I stayed there for 2 weeks, in 2003, 2004.To be honest the first time was great,although they gave us rooms in the lower level.At the second time we booked bosphorous view rooms and paied for that but gave us park view rooms in the lower levels,you can't understand with the people at the reception, they're sometimes rude. Not only that, the breakfast wasn't with the rest of the hotel residents, it was in the roof with other special nationalities, and the food was much lower in quality, so we paid for a 5 star deluxe hotel and service, but received much lower service.

It has been a few years since we stayed at the Swisshotel but it was the highlight of our stay in Istasnbul. People and service were the very best. The view from the rooftop restaurant was fantastic. We will be going back again this fall and so much looking forward to it.

Scene was so wonderful that i couldn't take my eyes from out. Hotel staff is very helpful and uderstanding that you can take answer immediately when you want a help. I think it is one of the best hotels of istanbul.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. However it is valid and clear to point out that the hotel has 2 parts which if you book through normal discounted brochures fail give this information. For the person who demands fine rooms fine service and the air of a hotel that befits being a member of the Leading Hotels Of the World, the only actual part of the hotel that rises to this standard is the swiss executive lounge. Here the rooms are considerably more. Fortunatley I stayed here. Entrance to the hotel is somewhat strange with security guards checking your baggage and if your not to careful to have booked the swiss lounge you will be amassed with a group of people waiting to have a room allocation. NOT the best of starts!. It is a large hotel with fantastic views. Great Roof Bar. For value it is excellent. However clarify rates in writing as I was charged some bizarre room charge extra. To put it simply just book the swiss executive lounge over the telephone. Anyother part would be disappointing. This of course depends on your own value system.
