NEVER AGAIN
Arrived in the evening. At the front desk, there was a couple trying to resolve a problem for which 3 staff members were needed just to work the computer. After waiting for 10 minutes, a 4th employee signed me in. I requested a wake up call for the following day 8 am. Nobody did it and I woke up at 930 am. I went downstairs and complained because my car was parked in a no park zone from 9 am on. Fortunately, the portuguese police is as efficient as ibis hotel's staff. I asked for the complaint log at which point everybody paniqued and no one knew where it was. They called for the manager, who, for 5 minutes tried to convince me not to write the complaint because "to err is human" and the said employee had been working there for several years. What a nerve! I was lucky because rather than catching a flight, I had decided to drive to France but I could have had a flight to catch, a meeting to attend or any other business that hotel users usually have.
Never again.
