Tough Management
While this facility may be nice, I know the management is tough and does not have any flexibility or sense of fairness for its guests. They have a strict, no nonsense cancellation policy and will not consider any modification of it. I was forced to cancel my reservation as the plane flight was cancelled without any notice to me so I could not go to Laos and stay at the hotel. I learned about the plane cancellation three days before my stay at the hotel and immediately notified the hotel. There were no other possibilities for me to fly even if I made three stops. While the hotel’s cancellation policy was on their web site when I made the initial reservation (you check a box to confirm it) I had cancelled that reservation and then by 10 or more emails to the hotel made new reservations and in none of the emails was there ever any cancellation policy. Most hotels would understand that if it was impossible for their guests to stay due to circumstances outside their control (such as I described) or if there was confusion as to cancellation policy (as was my case with 10-15 emails without any cancellation policy) that some type of compromise with the guest would be a good policy. Not this hotel!!!!!!!! Yes they offered to credit me for another stay within 18 months, but I told them this trip to Asia from USA is a long and expensive trip and it would not be possible for me to return within that time. I offered to split the cost with the hotel so I would pay them the $610 rather than $1220. They denied and forced me to pay the entire $1200. The only thing I can do is to warn other travelers to be very careful with this hotel’s management. They obviously do not understand good will and compromise. So be careful!!!!!!
