Hilton Garden Inn Chicago O'Hare Airport, Des Plaines

We only stayed 1 night which was our plans...and good thing. The hotel and our room was nice and clean. We thought we would hear jets all night long being by the airport but that wasn't the case. Instead, our room was close to the elevators and I heard them go up and down ALL night long. So much for sound proofing! The beds were very soft and not that good either. My wife and I both woke up with sore backs. Our 10 year old daughter slept like a rock. I would say the mattresses we slept on were more like for hotels in the $40-60 range. When we checked out, we thought the breakfast was free with our stay but it wasn't! To eat breakfast, it was $13.95 per person!!!!! Instead, we went right down the road and ate at a local place and got a lot of food for 1/2 the price. We were not that impressed by this particular Hilton. We won't stay there again.

Perfect place. keywords, kiddie kiddy wading toddler pool. only 2 toddler pools in chicago area. this one is the only clean and updated one. Kids loved it. Rooms extremely clean. I used blacklight, no icky stuff. Food great, staff great. Restaurant was the best, kid friendly. Staff great. Will go back.

First time at the Hilton Garden Inn and I must say we were pleasently surprised. Room was very good with comfortable king bed. Clean & quiet. Room service was great and food was good. Not overly expensive. Breakast the next morning was also terrific, good food and friendly polite service. Our only disappointment and why I gave it an overall rating of 4 instead of five was that we didn't get the room we had reserved. No explanation from front desk. I still believe that a confirmed reservation should be upheld. However, the room we did get was very nice. Looking forward to staying again.
