Been to Vegas before, this is old school value
Just got back, this is my first stay at this hotel. I will go back. The rooms are a good size. My room was clean and modern. Nothing fancy here but a good value. The casino was big with a large modern sports book and seperate race book. Both had a bar nearby with a lounge with padded chairs. Just outside of these is a chicago style vienna hot dog stand with dogs for 75 cents. What a deal. Beer at the bars were $3/bottle (compared to $6 on the strip). The Coronado Cafe was good, very good service, and some good deals. All day a 16 oz. porterhouse with sides for 12.99. At night there are the graveyard specials that remind me of old vegas. Check out their menus online at their website. The pool isn't large but not overly crowded. I'm 50 so I don't want the pool "club" that all the hotels are pushing now. The location is the downfall. Approx. 4 miles from the strip, but there is a shuttle bus for $8 r/t, or the publice bus for $7 per day. I take the bus, very convenient, it has a stop in the parking lot just outside the casino doors. FYI look at RTC las vegas and the route is 117, connecting to the Duece or Strip Downtown Express. Overall this is not a place to impress someone because it's not on the strip, but if you want a nice casino, rooms and places to eat and drink while not spending the family fortune consider this hotel.
