Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel Reykjavik, Reykjavik

Stayed a 4 nights in standard room, then left Reyjavik for several days, and on return stayed 1 night in an upgrade room. Absolutely a great location central to everything downtown. Short walk to the Parliament and City Hall areas and in between the two main Tourist Information Centers. Lots of restaurants nearby and near the main shopping/nightspot areas. Excellent staff, professional and helpful (but don't expect Icelandic people to be servile). Rooms are small by US standards but normal for Iceland/Europe. Rooms are well decorated in minimalistic "Scandanavian design" style. Plenty of free overnight parking nearby in public lots and on the street. (There is a charge for these same parking spots from 10AM to 4PM.) We would stay at the 1919 again. One of the top hotels in Reykjavik.
