Fairfield Inn Suites Birmingham FultondaleI-65, Fultondale

This inn is easily found off the interstate with lots of restaurants and fast food close by. It is well maintained on the outside, but do not let the appearance fool you. Upon entering we were greeted by the manager who gave us a rate which we agreed upon. Later on after getting into our room we checked the Marriot site and it was alot cheaper. This was disappointing as we are reward members of high rating. Next our room was ok, but the bath tub drain was clogged. Nothing is as disappointing as driving all day and getting in for a nice warm shower and starting to get surrounded by dirty bath water. Its not like you can call the desk clerk at 11pm naked and wet to come fix it. Then around the bathroom was not clean and lots of hair, and dead bugs (multiple) including a roach. Beds were nice and thermostat was a nice feature. They have a market that sells everything at very high prices from condoms to sodas inside the hotel. Be prepared for noise from a construction site next door as a new hotel is going up and it is very loud. Manager is not friendly or helpful so do not expect your normal Marriot experience. We love Marriot, but this property was very dissappointing and not worth the price.
