Liked a lot
By Saxon, 10/28/07
The location of the hotel could not have been better. We were able to walk to the museums, restaurants, shops and plazas. I really liked the decor. It was cheerful, comfortable and very well thought out. The staff was always very helpful and did speak English. They were always cordial when I attempted my limited Spanish. Tapas at the hotel lounge were rather expensive, but very good.We were the oldest people in the lounge by far, but never felt uncomfortable and when we left, felt 15 years younger. Internet access available in the library for guests.

Great Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/8/07
The rooms were lovely. Decorated nicely with cobalt blue accents and dark rust walls, comfortable bed with white fluffy linens. Bathroom was spacious, and location was great. We stayed at this hotel twice and our first room was bigger, but the second room was still decorated the same nad was clean. The price is a good value for the location.

Beautiful Hotel, Great location, BAD service!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/7/07
This is a beautiful design hotel in a great part of town. Ideal location with shopping and great restaurants near by. Problem is... it's not a service oriented hotel. And, if you need a concierge this is not the place for you. There's no concierge and the staff does not speak much English. So, if you're a first timer to Madrid and you need assistants setting reservations and making plans, I'd stay somewhere else. The restaurant... is fine. The menu was a bit limited, but tasty. Again the service is not very good. I ate there twice, both times I had to ask for the check 4 times. Rooms... Beautiful modern design. Nice bathrooms. We stayed in the winter, so the air conditioning is either turned off or at a set tempature. I had trouble sleeping because the room was hot. To cool down the room, we had to open the window. It worked but the street noise is very loud. Overall... I liked the hotel. I was very disappointed in the service. I think they could step it up a few notches in that regard.
