Barcelona Princess Hotel, Barcelona

This is a super-modern hotel. It has great facilities and a great sea view. It is at the very end of the Diagonal so you can always find it easily if you get lost and being close to the Forum Metro stop is brilliant. Ive travelled in Spain often enough to know that customer service is not top of most hotels priority list. This is no exception, with impatient and curt staff it could have spoilt the holiday. They were adequate at checking us in and giving minimal information but were not what you'd expect from say british or american reception/concierge staff. One final - but VERY important note. You are NOT allowed to bring food or drink into this hotel. This includes water! I don't want to feel like I'm starring in Mindnight Express just to get a bottle of "Agua Sin Gas" into my room! If you can read a map and find your own way to the beach (which is not as close as reported) and the Metro then I do recomend this hotel because it's value and clenliness is superb. The location out of the noisy areas was perfect for us on a short weekend break so staying for longer might not be recomended. Hope you have a good trip :)
