The resort was fab, food was of great quality - so much choice and variety. Entertainment was superb, enjoyed the daytime activities and the evening performance!. People were so friendly. Something for all age ranges, Kids club , beach activities and archery/golf/spa/gym. Loved it.. can't wait to return in 3 months.

it's not all that and more!!!
By ,
I just got back this evening from spending a week at this resort. To be very honest it was ok. I booked the vacation through TMR and they set us up with nice "travelling" accomodations flying Air Canada to and from Punta Cana. They also sent us to the hotel in a air conditioned Coach bus, Not one of those old vans that I saw other people arriving in. That's about where the luxery ended. We booked a Junior suite which was 2 double beds and a "living room". One of the beds was missing a support on the side of it to hold the box spring up (which was broken). So the bed would tip over to one side if you slept on that side. One morning while waking up I almost fell off the bed it was so bad. The washroom was the dirtiest thing I'd seen in awhile from a 4 star hotel. You would expect the mildew in the tiles in a cheap place or the mirror being stained. The in room "mini-bar" includesonly 1 bottle of coke, 1 sprite a diet coke and 4 or 5 bottles of water. On the first morning of our stay we got woken up at not even 8 am by the cleaning lady who wanted to clean our room. I am a 25 year old young man I don't get up while on vacation at that time. For the est of my time there before heading to bed I would put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, this would go unnoticed the next morning around 8 o'clock again by theknocking from the cleaning lady. The other thing is you can only have 2 a la carte dinners during your stay no matter how long it is. All your other meals have to be eaten at the buffet, where the food is ok but you can get sick of it very quickly. I suggest not trying any of there ground meats, everytime I tried them they were not fully cooked. It is also very hard to communicate with the employees there. They can also be very rude. On my third day there, they had a baeball activity on the beach. I joined in the game half way through. Please keep in mind we were playing baseball on a beach among palm trees, long chairs and little hutts. When I threw the ball the I had just chased down into the infield (somewhat blindly), the host looks at me and screamed "YO what are you doing? thats not how you play baseball". With that type of warm hospitality is that for a guest? In conclusion I will never return to the Sirenis Chain ever again.

Wonderful relaxing trip
By ,
My boyfriend and myself went to this resort April 13th-20th 2008. We went Air Transit and it was smooth flying and the air port scene wasn't too bad. The bus ride from the air port was about an hour but the roads were good and it went fast. The hotel is really big and lots of walking but really it wasn't that bad and probably good for us! The hotel is clean, the food isn't faboulous but is good. The buffet always has something in it to eat, the Mexican restaurant was really good, as was the sea food restaurant. The steak one was just ok. The ribs were awful but the steaks were tasty but thin. Mind you we are not at home folks!! The Itallian was my favorite. The beach bar was right on the beach and so was the burger shack. We had an ocean view room and we were in T-101. It was nice. I have been in better but it was nice. The beds were hard but we slept like babys and it didn't bother us. The pillows were flat but we just took the other ones off the other bed and it was fine. I wasn't there for the room. Room service was fast and good. Everyting we needed was always done quickly. The beach is very sandy and beautiful. The water is usually rough but more so out farther. Windy every day but thank god for it because it was hot! 50 UV protection still didn't keep me from burning! The vendors are very pushy at both sides of the beach but don't bother you at all on the main beach. I have a hard time with bargaining with people who tell me they are poor but wear better clothes then me and use cell phones! The entertainment team is awesome and try very hard to make you laugh. I was proposed to on our trip so I will find it hard to say too much bad!! It was a trip of a life time for me. I have stayed at better but can't say it is one of the worse. I recommend it to anyone. Lots of kids though but you can avoid them if you want. More middle aged people then young but yet not too bad of a mix. My only real negative comment would be that the main desk staff could be nicer but I didn't need much assistance from them and didn't let them get to me. Also there were little ants in our room by the door on our first night. I sprayed them with bug spray and never seen them again. I didn't need the bug spray again. As for excursions, we went on a snorkeling tour. It was good and we went to Sanoia Island. That was good to do something but if you are looking for beach then just stay at the resort. They take you to an island that the beach is full of coral and you can't walk out into the water with out wincing. The adventure was good though. We wanted to take a helocpter tour but it was booked up so I advise to book early. Have a good time!!! It is a good time if you make it!

some advise: in order to get a better room we had to sneak 5 bucks to the guy's pocket.. bring gifts from teh dollar store, locals love them. easy to trade .. bring sunscreen, allot of it. can't hurt. buying there is expensive bring snorkling.. half of the resort beach has rocks and you see allot there.

Had a fabulous time!
By ,
I've returned from this resort 1 and 1/2 weeks ago and had a wonderful time. The service we received was exceptional. The room was very clean but outdated. However, it was a clean and that's all we needed. Nothing fancy! But the house keeper made us beautiful swans daily with towels as well as put flower petals on our beds. Beautiful touch! We were unfortunately, not so happy with a very minor issue, and that was pillows. Try and get extras if you like but good luck. The food was very good and plenty of variety for everyone's taste. Honestly, if you found nothing pleasant to eat, you are beyond being a picky eater. There was alot of variety daily including desserts. Even ice cream and Nacho's, popcorn etc... The pool area and the entertainment staff were amazing. They were always smiling, singing and dancing. That has to be a tough job. Always having to entertain guests for 18 to 19 hours a day for 12 to 14 days straight and not get grumpy. I personally could not do it. Kudos to them. They really do work hard to keep everyone having a good time. It isn't easy, always being happy. They played pool games, dancing on the beach several types of competitions for children and adults alike. This resort is for certain a great place to take the family. There are alot of children here. If you plan to bring your children, don't forget water toys like tubes or air mattress. They do not supply them. If your looking to do alot of shopping, this part of the Island does not offer this. Yes, there are a few "shops" on the beach and a few on the resort as well. But I had a hard time finding gifts that were unusual to find. Kind of the same thing everywhere. I would recommend that you go look at the small shops on the beach but..... Beware! They are much more aggressive on the right hand side (facing the ocean) than they are on the left side. We met Joe and Georges as well the owner of those tiny shops. So sorry I cant think of his name. But they offer quad trips and such. Much nicer equipment than what the resort offers. OH... If you would like something original for gifts or even for yourself, on the resort where the towels are near the beach, stop by and see Tony, he hand paints T-Shirts and does an absolutely AMAZING job. He'll paint whatever you want. We all bought several. And he is so helpful. Will do anything for you and expect NOTHING in return. We all became very good friends during our stay. I felt ill and he seen me heading to our room alone and he went and found my friends to tell them I was very sick and wanted them to bring me some local natural medicine to help me out. How sweet was that... and it worked but tasted worse than anything I have ever tried. I can't thank him enough. Well, I could probably go on and on about all the great things but I'm sure you've heard enough. Please don't expect Paradise inside or you will be slightly disappointed. Leave paradise outside where it belongs. Have fun and enjoy your vacation. It was worth it and I would go again and again. If you would like more info, please do not hesitate, I would be more than happy to help. Missing Sirenis already!
