I loved Dominican Republic: from the weather (I was there in Frbruary, winter time), until the food, including people. But this hotel was something that I never thought I could find in such hotel rate. The bedroom was never cleaned until 5-6 p.m. The bathroom almost was not clean - I had to clean several times if i wanted a decent place. Room service never worked to our place. The food was very good, the swimmimg pool was apparently clean.

excellent service,i was there last year 2009,with my family and friends, this year we are sure we going there again by august2010 i hope everything still the same cause for real everything was excellent,the staff,the food,the hotel, the shows at the theater and of course the disco..i really recommend this resort to everyone

I spent 8 days at Cocotal Beach Resort between 15 and 22 of August 2006 and I have the following to say: Before I went to Punta Cana I read several opinions of other guests at the Cocotal Beach Resort and I must say that reality is very different from what was suggested. Localization: From the airport its one hour and half through a road with more holes then a Swiss cheese. My wife is pregnant and it was very tough to her. Every single trip in the island has at least one hour journey from the hotel to start. When you start your trip you are already tired. Hotel: This resort has many problems and it isn�t a five stars for sure, only in the front wall. It�s a medium resort and I�m sure there are better choices in Punta Cana. On the 16th I killed a cocoroach in my bathroom and my son cried for her until the check out because it was still there. Maintenance: The room was cleaned every day but the maid was always forgetting something specially towels (and we did tip her twice $5) Buffet: It was good but not for a five stars hotel. A La Carte Restaurants: If we wanted to have diner in one of them we had to waste a morning to make a reservation to 6:30pm (all the others were always reserved) although we could check that these restaurants were always nearly empty (no explanation). Swimming pools: Lack of security! I never saw a single person watch over especially for children. There are two bridges over the pools and there�s a sign: �No diving�. Well in several occasions I saw people diving and no one seemed to care. Once I was at the pool bar with my wife and child and our cocktails were fouled with water from the pool where someone decided to dive from one seat of the pool. No one seemed to care even the barman. The only person I saw around the pools was in the end of the day an old man asking people to leave the pool at 6:30pm (at 9:30pm still someone in the pool). Pool Towels: No towels for two days. Towels were in the laundry and they couldn�t hand them over after 2:00pm. The delivery system and replacement does not work. Snacks 24 hours: Hamburgers, French fries, nachos, hot dogs and crepes that are all you have got. How am I suppose to feed a 5 year old child, there was no milk, yoghurt, fruit or bread! The brochures we read mentioned that this resort has a special care for families and children. I really don�t think so. Pool chairs and shades: Were not enough in the pool and beach, even if you get up at 5:30am and try to reserve some is very difficult. I only did that once and where I got there with my family other gests pulled our towels to the sand and put their personal belongings on them. Nevertheless I would like to say that the staff in the bars and restaurants were great, it�s one of the few positive aspects of this resort. As a customer I paid 1.300� per person to spend 7 nights in a 5 stars resort and I am forced to recognize that it�s a tropical paradise but not well organized. I can�t compare this 5 stars resort with others I have been and I am said to have waste my vacations and my money for so little return. For all of these (and much more) that I�ve said I can�t understand how some people can give a such wrong idea in the internet about this resort. I�m talking about a �Bob from Canada� and others. Are they paid to say nice thinks for this resort? It�s unbelievable� I won�t recommend this resort to no one that I know or even don�t know, there are other better choices, believe me.

Sirenis resort is one of the best resort that I ever visited. Sirenis is very best mostly in everything from service to cleaness. 1. Service everywhere was very fast and excellent overall. (Only in some restaurants, servants do not speak simple english, but otherwise great.) 2. Room is very clean and comfortable. Towels are being changed every day, few times a day without asking for it. Room had refregerator with drinks, balcony, tv, great big bath, safety box which was free if you use Apple Vacation and many other things. 3. Resort had 2 big buffet which werem very good with a lot of different food which varied every day. In addition to that, there was a grill on the beach and few more buffets next to pool. There were 7 restaurants which were free except one so be careful. 4. Activities varied everyday. The staff that works there is very good. They give their 110% every show they make at the theather every night. 5. There are a lot of bars, but the best one is the one in the lobby downstairs. Bartenders there are excellent. 6. Beach is very clean. Water is not as dirty as in other parts of the Domiinican Republic. Pretty much it was clean. Something was in the water after some tropical storms which lasted for no more than 2 minutes. Overall, it was nice.

Before i went on this holiday i couldnt wait, and those feelings were proven right when we first stepped off the plane and that hat nigfht air hit us.The hotel location is not the best as i feel it is too far away from anythinge e.g local town.This staff and service is one of the best i have had and is very friendly.The entertainment staff are also top class providing the best day activities and putting on a very entertaining show especially mr spaghetti.Cleanliness is good but could be better. The food is quite poor (poor choice) but overall i would recomend it to anyone

The first time we stayed at this hotel was in 2002. We had an amazing time the staff could not do enough to help. Yes its out of the way but who wants to stay near the airport with all the noise. The resort was always so clean, even the gardeners started early and would greet you with a fresh coconut for you to drink on the way to breakfast. The water sports were well organised and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The diving was not great but I had just come from Egypt so maybe I expected to much. The drinks were great if you go ask the bar staff for there special local drink Viagra made from local bark and honey its awesome but very strong. Food was fantastic even my wife who is vegeterian had loads to chose from. Breakfasts were just heavenly with the freshly made juices and smoothies. The beach was spotless and perfect in every way just like you imagine a beach in the Caribbean would be with the draping palms and white sands. All in all this holiday was excellent value for money and we have booked to go again in June of this year (2007). This resort puts the over rated sandals and beaches resorts to shame. We have been to beaches and it was a total waste of money compared to this resort. Serenis have really got this place right. You will come home relaxed and ready to go again after your break here. I dont know why the people who say bad things do as I travel to 4 or 5 places for holiday a year and lots on business and I cannot find a single fault with this resort.

dominican republic was the best holiday my familly and i have been not so much that the place was posh or modern but the staff the food the beach everything was just lovely! the flight The flight wasnt the best as it was a very long flight and i dont like turbalence but when we got there we knew it was worth the wait. The beach The beach was absolutely beautifull it seemed like paradise there was lots of fish in the sea which scared me but they really were beautifull. Staff The staff were the best!!! i met one of them (jonaton) most days for lunch he was lovely and i still ring him now and i will never forget him! i will never forget any of the staff i will name a few.... jonotan spaghetti jesus guiness i hope they are all still there when i go back. the room/hotel The room i think was just perfect for what we needed and whoever moaned about the rooms are silly as you only really sleep there and get ready to go out and you spend most days on the lovely beach.The bathroom was beautifull and there were 2 big double beds. the excursions These were great! we went one only one and it was to another island that day was great and just makes you envy the people who live there. The pools/pool bars these were great fresh drinks in a nice cool swimmin pool it was lovely the pools were always clean and good to wash the sand of your tanned feet. The food! The food was great and people who moan about not enough food you must be some fat heffer to think there is no food there was alot and it was all lovely. the disco/entertainment These were all great and if your in to dancin then this holiday is even more for you i spent most nights at the disco dancin with all the gorgus reps! i was even in one of there shows wich im tellin you i would of not of done if i wasnt drunk haha. Overall the holiday was great and i cant wait to go back after i have finished my exams and i would just like to say to the yahoo user from portugal you have no life if your going to slag this hotel off , you say u got bored well bored people must be boring. i had a great lovely time and i cant wait to go back next year!!! i reccomend the holiday to you!!!

i was there from 17-22 Sep 08. it was my frist time going to an all inclusive. from here on out i will always go to an all inclusive. the staff was more than great. the animation staff? outstanding. they don't get paid for what they are worth, therefore i tipped eventhough tips are included in the all inclusive price. the beach was okay,not as beautiful as their long continuous pool therefore i spent 1 day at the beach and the remainder days at the pool. if i can ever afford a setup like that pool area.......:-) what i truly loved was every body was from everywhere. all colors from a lot of countries having a great time together. i played volley ball in the pool with at least 5 different languages. hand jestures, laughs, etc was good enough to figure out who won and who lost. the gym could use some updated equipment, but it's enough to get the job done. a little far from the airport( maybe an hour,) but the stay made it worth the wait. the food was ok. i ate mainly at the buffet; too lazy to book a time to go to other restaraunts. i did however make it to the italian and western restaraunt which was pretty good. next time i will take time to make reservations at the other restaraunts. if you take your laptop, ask for a free password at the front desk. that way you don't have to pay for their internet service which is offered at a high rate. i used my laptop in the lobby because i didn't get good reception in my room ( i stayed in block H.) i got a great deal which was at double occupancy ($632.00 at vacmart .com) another great website is cheap caribbean .com. the rooms are clean, nice bathroom. the room is set up like a basic hotel room. have a great time

i have been to the sirenis three times now and just love the place.dont listen to the bad reviews they are rubbish its a wonderful place so enjoy

everything was A1- what a wonderful place- do recommend alot of suntan lotion and tips for the staff they are great. I will be returning asap when I have more vation time
