Could be good, but very disappointing.
I wasn’t impressed with El Establo even though the grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately, even though the room was spacious and looked good at first, their concentration on “green” made the room not at all user friendly.
The hallway corridors in each building are long and they are stone instead of carpet which would help with noise abatement. We were awakened twice late at night because of noisy guests. There were no drawers in the room to put clothing in, just shelves. Because of the lighting, it was impossible to read in bed because the lights were poorly placed and the bulbs were inadequate. The three small lights in the bathroom over the sink made it impossible to put makeup on. There was no hook for a makeup bag on the back of the batroom door. The shower was spacious but very slippery and had no hand rail, etc. In addition, we to fight with a few varmints in our room each night for a little further excitement.
The breakfast was very well done with excellent selections and overall the staff was very accommodating. I appreciate the conservation attempt, but at the end of the day a hotel room should meet the needs of the purchaser so they will come back. We would not.
