Peace Lodge, Vara Blanca

This is not Costa Rica! This is Disney World invading Costa Rica. Sure the rooms are nice (if you can get things to work) but at this price, honestly GO ELSEWHERE. The food is sub-par, the grounds are beautiful (but you can only do so much here) We were quickly bored after doing everything and still had two more days. We stayed here hoping to save time and see a rainforest before heading out SJO. In hindsight, we should have gone to Monteverde. At least in Monteverde the animals are free and the rocks are real. This was a total waste of money as far as I am concerned. Waterfalls are EVERYWHERE folks, and in most places you can even swim in the pools below. Stairs Stairs Stairs Stairs........
