Lodges at Canmore, Canmore

I cannot see what the other reviewers of this place are complaining about! (and I am one THE most fussiest holidaymakers when it comes to accomodation). We stayed there in March 2006 and the staff could not do more for us! From arriving and showing us various rooms patiently until we decided which to stay in, to sorting information about the area and basically looking after us brilliantly. There seemed nothing they couldn't do for us. The accomodation there is almost entirely privately owned and decorated differently, yes some may have 'dubious' tastes but hey, thats what going on holiday and life is about, live a little! Our 2 bedroomed condo was very tasefully decorated and well stocked for self catering. The place was always spotlessly clean, the hot tub, pool and changing areas immaculate. Excellent secure heated underground parking to boot. I think these other guests stayed somewhere else! Everyone I met there loved it and many came back year after year. I have no hesitation in going back, thank you Canore Lodges, 5 stars to you and your staff. Nige, Lincolnshire, UK.

I just spent a weekend at Lodges of Canmore and my whole outlook on life in general has been changed forever. I cannot understand how such disrespectful, uppity, rude, and slobby people can get hired at a nice place like this. as soon as i walked in the front doors, i knew we were in for a treat when i saw the two employees at the front desk quickly hide a flask they were drinking out of in a drawer. they were barely coherent, cursing, smelled terrible, and were laughing at a friend of mine because of his mental handicap. i had called the front desk once to request fresh towels and they told me to call back in an hour because they wanted to finish watching a movie. and in the background i could hear the movie playing and lets just say that i wasnt at all surprised at what they were watching. I could go on forever about how terrible these people are at their jobs but ill just leave you with what i thought to be the icing on the cake. we were hanging out in the hot tub when a young boy who was with his parents had an accident in his shorts. we told the people at the front desk and like the classy professionals they are, came over with a bucket, scooped it out and went back to their movie watching. worst experience ive had in a long time. disturbing. dont go to this place. ever.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and had the worst experience of my life. The accomodations are fairly nice, the room decor was extremely tacky. However, the people that live in some of the units, and the hotel staff are terrible. I have never met people that were so disrespectful, they treated my friends and I like garbage. In a town that has so many of these condo type hotels, dont waste your time on this one. I dont even want to get started on our pool experience, but I think I must for the interest of others. We were in the hot tub one night, and there was a young couple with their baby in the tub with us. The baby had a 'accident' in the pool, and hotel staff came out and scooped up the mess and that was it. They did not shut it down, we got out but many other people went in there after us!!! Extremely wrong. Never going back

Rapunzel's was very unfriendly. Booking a month in advance should be adequate. Only a manicure was able to be had and it was rushed through. Less than satisfactory job. Still $100 gift certificate left over and probably won't be able to utilize it within 6 months. Would rather not go back to Rapunzels. Would not recommend the Spa Package to anyone. Thank you.
