Nice but.....

WHat I liked...I liked the Clena smell of the room, the room service from the Italian restuarant (except the breakfast - don't order breakfast before (am) otherwise you wil lbe getting left over bacon, nasty tasting pancake, cold eggs). The other thing I liked was the inside look, the spacious rooms and the quiteness (despite you caould've heard other guests closing their hotel room doors). What I DID NOT LIKE WAS: THE NOISY, NOISY Air conditioner/Heat in the room. YOu can hardly hear yourse;f speak, much less watch a movie on TV without having to turn it up about 3 notches so that you can hear. I hope they can fix this ANNOYING problem beacuse it often woke me up out of my epaceful sleep when I stayed there. Besides tha tI will most definitely stay there again.

A bit dusty

It was awful for the price and supposed prestige... The room was very dusty, i'm talking mounts of it on the drapes, and the curtains were mildewing... My daughter has asthma so I was not pleased! for 110 a night it was yuck! I will not be staying here again! Plus the pool is shared between two hotels, and is closed all of mondays due to cleaning? Really?

Loved it

We were there for a concert at Hampton Coliseum. The provided a shuttle to the show. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff went out of their way to accomodate us. Room clean, comfortable, with plenty of space. Didn't ever get to the pool but it is very nice. Great location close to Hampton and restaurants. Will always stay there when in the area.

As good as Holiday Inn gets

Small and luxurious for an HI. The suites are wonderfully spacious. Free cocktials, free white tablecloth served breakfast, and very polite staff. Fusion restaurant has jazz group and other entertainment during week and week-end. Only complaint is Has indoor pool but no whirlpool.

Sweet Hotel

Okay so they ask you to sign a damage liability waiver? So! It IS a really nice hotel and the suits are just awesome. Plus you get a free breakfast the next morning too! I'm not talking the cold ceral and bagels with so-so coffee that the other places offer. This is a full blown breakfast hot bar. Sweet! Even though it was a bit expensive (111.00 for 1 night) we're going back, I'd drop another 20 on breakfast for the 3 of us anyway so that drops my cost down to which brings the cost of the room down to 91 dollars a night, very reasonable for this kind of treatment.

Disapointed

Considering this was a higher-end priced and brand new Holiday Inn we expected more than we got on our 4th of July weekend stay. Window-unit air conditioner was very loud, and clanked on and off all night - waking everyone up every 15 minutes. When it was off the very loud I-64 was pretty easy to hear considering it's right next to the hotel. There is no continental breakfast - a staple at lesser expensive hotel chains these days (even Holiday Inn Express hotels!). Only 3 towel sets were provided each day, even though there were 2 double beds and 4 of us in the room. Pool was nice (indoors, kids were disapointed), and hotel is clean. But really not a good value - you can get cheaper with better services elsewhere.

This hotel has excellent service and the cleanliness is hard to match. This hotel is conveniently located with quick access to Interstate-64.

Virginia Haven

Located right off Interstate 64 for easy access to and from the hotel. Good location in relation to areas of interest. Very nice staff and accommodations. We have repeatedly experienced a quiet and comfortable room. The indoor pool sets the hotel ahead of the rest.

I stayed here Memorial Day weekend 2005 with out of state guests. I had heard good things about the hotel and looked forward to my stay. Unfortunately, the hotel demands an unpublished $200 refundable security deposit upon check in. I paid over $100 (cash) for the room and was completely unprepared over a holiday weekend to come up with another $200 for a deposit. The desk staff would not budge and I was placed in a very difficult situation. I finally resolved the problem but not before everyone in the lobby heard the desk staff's side of the conversation.Note: You will also be asked to sign two additional waivers.The only bright spot was a clean room and an outstanding housekeeping staff. The Pointe Plaza Hotel across J. Clyde Morris Boulevard is owned and managed by the same company so check their policies before making reservations. In the future, I will take my guests to the Omni Hotel down the street.

Nice

It was our first time going to VA. I checked rating of all the hotels available and this hotel seem better than the other and it was. Nice workers very helpful. Room was always cleaned. I recommend a great resturant to eat in Williamsburg (15-20 mins. away from hotel)called Maurico. The security guard will be able to give directions.
