Comfort Suites, Rapid City

This was the best motel I have ever stayed at. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. A lady servicing the wonderful breakfast bar, gave us many idea of places of interest to see. She went out of her way to be kind and helpful. The bedroom was great with a sitting area. The location was convient to local points of interest. This motel gets 2 thumbs up. Thanks for a great stay.

I had came all the way from Ohio. hadn't had any problems with any other hotel . This hotel gave me the run around with my service dog (EVEN SHOWED HIS REG PAPERS) . They were very rude and I don't care where i go i will never stay in any of these or there branch of hotels . It is illegal for them to treat me the way they did because of my handicap i left there so up set went in to a seizure . Will tell all about my experience.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even helped us map our way through the Black Hills. we have a baby so they made sure we were in a corner room and delivered a crib. the breakfast was excellent and what a beautiful breakfast room. We would deffinitly stay there again. It was next to Ruby Tuesdy so we didn't have to find somewhere to eat.

Hotel was nice, clean, great pool area, work out room and ok breakfast. Front desk staff was very crabby, every time we asked questions, staff was very short with us and made us feel like we were bothering them, especially the heavy girl that worked the over night shift. Most likely won't return, due to the rude front desk help.

We go to Rapid City at least three times a year for my father's appointments at the hospital, we have always stayed in this hotel and received a medical discount. The pool/hot tub/sauna area is always clean as are the rooms and the staff is very friendly! Since there were no fridges in our rooms the staff kept my daughters baby food in their fridge for me to get at my conveinence! Breakfast is always awesome and it's right beside Ruby Tuesday's so we don't have to drive all over for supper! Definately worth the money!

The most racist hotel I've ever stayed in in the USA Do NOT stay there if you are a minority of any kind

We reserved our rooms 3 months in advance ... We asked to have our rooms on the 1st floor due to physical reasons and to have 2 adjoining rooms ... When we got to the hotel she [the girl at the desk: SS] gave us 2 rooms on the first floor across and down the hall from each other … she said that was all they had … the one room had the adjoining door … and I said there is no one in the other room … but she said that room was reserved for disability … and I might add she said it very snotty … I told her we had made the arrangements 3 months earlier and she said “well you’re just lucky you got as close as you did” ... Also very snotty … I told her there should be no luck involved we had made the reservations 3 months ago … then we noticed the next day they had put someone in the room that didn’t appear to be disabled ... My sister and I had the 2 rooms with our children … and our 96 year old mother … we were jointly taking care of her and the attached rooms would have been really a help … as it was we had to keep going across the hall … sending her back and forth … it was really inconvenient … and not to mention the hole in the floor that we almost fell in several times … I finally went to the front desk and told a girl about the hole and she was surprised to see it … and said she would get someone on it immediately … well 2 days later I didn’t see anything being done not even an orange cone put over it … then after checking our bills after we left we noticed that the charge had been added to our bill for the use of the safe … which we hadn’t used … I did call the hotel and after talking to the manager the cost was refunded … and I might mention at no time did the manager inquire how was my stay … or I would have told her … but apparently she wasn’t concerned …

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend in a king suite and it was great! The rooms were very nice and a great deal for the money. The staff was very friendly too!

we stayed here sept. 12 2007 after being on the road for two weeks. The price was very high for a very common room but we were tired and just wanted to get some rest so we paid the price and checked in. We ate at Ruby Tuesday's next door which was very nice as that is one of our favorite places to eat. We went back to our room after eating and read for awhile thinking the child or children up above us would soon go to bed and quit running and jumping around up there but it went on up until after 10pm. At 6am we were awaken again by the running and jumping and this continued on until we left the room to check out. I told the lady at the desk about this problem and she said they usually try to put people with children on the first floor,no Im sorry or anything else, just that they usually put the kids on the first floor. After paying 140.00+ for this room I felt we at least deserved some kind of apology but that didnt happen so next time we travel you can bet we wont be staying in any Comfort Inns along the way.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We had reservations at two well known hotels that boasted about their accomodations but customer reviews made us reconsider. We wanted to make sure our review save some other family from making a bad move like we almost did. This Comfort Inn is adjacent to Ruby Tuesday which was great after our long drive. It is actually closer to Mt. Rushmore than the other hotels claim. The service, cleanliness, internet and pool were outstanding. We stayed four nights towards the end of July and it was a home away from home. We're grateful we did not stay at the other high traffic hotels.
