The worst hotel service ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/04
I booked the Ritz Carlton in Santiago for 3 people staying in a room. I expected to have a double bed room; instead, we were given a queen bed. I kindly requested a change to a double bed room or a extra bed to be added to the room, the answer was that we had to pay $50 extra per night. I explained to them that I had booked and paid for three, and showed the print out with all the information. I was told that these websites on the internet were bad designed with inaccurate information, and that these sites allows to put even 12 people into a room.
I replied that I have used travelocity or expedia for hotels in Europe, the United States, and to book plane tickets, an have found them to be very reliable; however, the witch told me that I had a very promotional rate. In other words, as if I was let to stay for free so I had to shove it.
Because my mother was present I didn't want to argue and ruin the so expected vacations. I requested the extra bed even if they wanted to charge it to my account. Well, we had to wait an extra hour for the room to be ready, and when we finally got to it there was no extra bed nor was brought in any time during our stay. Nevertheless, I was being charged for the non-existing bed upon my check out. In summary, a disaster. I've never felt so humiliated as that person in Ritz Carlton made me feel, so be awere if you're booking that hotel through travelocity or any site over the internet.
