5 reviews for Americus Garden Inn Bed & Breakfast, Americus
Like Being at Home without the Work
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/09
Kim & Sue create a unique combination of the friendliness of family, helpfulness of a personal tour guide, and the incomparable culinary experience of the best chef to provide visitors with a special travel experience. This B&B is one of the best I've ever visited, and I've traveled around the world.

We will be going back
By Ruth, 09/11/07
A friend and I just spent 3 nights at the Garden Inn & Breakfast in Americus, Ga. The service was excellant and the food was wonderful. The innkeepers, Kim and Susan are two of the nicest people I've met. They were sincerely concerned about each guest, paid special attention to their needs and were very helpful with directions and suggestions on where to eat, even making necessary reservations for us. I stayed in the Veranda Room and my friend was in the Library Room. Both rooms and beds were very comfortable and even though we were on the first floor, across from the common rooms, everything was quiet. I especially enjoyed the Veranda off my room. Early mornings were spent reading and enjoying a cup of coffee. The Inn was very easy to get to and even though Americus is located a fair distance from I-75 the cross country drive was beautiful and was well worth the quiet and solitude we enjoyed. We found a precious jewel in Americus Georgia and will definitely be going back!

Just Okay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/06
The Inn was okay. The town is boring. No night life, no restaurants of any quality. Just chicken fried steak and meatlofe The inn is stuffy. Good place for older people.

The Ultimate Romantic Getaway is at the Americus Garden Inn B&B
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/05
Just recently retired from 22 years in the Air Force, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a romantic getaway weekend without kids or the dog! We loved the Americus Garden Inn. Kim and Susan are the best Inn Keepers! They have great attention to detail and are very concerned that each person who stays at their B&B is relaxed and happy! We stayed 2 nights, 1 in The Library room and the next in the Jacuzzi Room with the added Sensations Package. The first day after hours of touring nearby historical Andersonville and shopping at the Maze (fun store that has everything and more!) in downtown Americus and strolling along the quaint streets enjoying southern hospitality, we were ready for some R&R at the B&B...after our dinner out we were welcomed home to our beautiful room with a turned down bed and a sweet little glass heart dish full of chocolates. We picked out a couple movies from the extensive collection of videos available for all guests to use and then to the dining room which is always stocked full of every kind of soda, ice water, tea and coffee 24 hours a day. Saturday morning the breakfast was wonderful. We began with some nummy chocolate muffins with our choice of several juices and of course, coffee! The next course was deliciously sweet melon followed by an egg casserole with our favorite; Cinnamon Roll Griddle Cakes! Wow! After breakfast, we left for another day of history in near by Plains and enjoyed the history of our 39th President, Jimmy Carter and his family. The next day we enjoyed yet another fabulous breakfast and strolled around the neighborhood to take in the beauty of historical homes and just imaging Rhett and Scarlett types back when...such character and beauty in the older homes. After getting photographs of our host and hostess, we were on our way back to reality. Kim and Susan just made our whole weekend special. Such a value too! Hoping to return someday and will highly recommend to anyone who needs a getaway or just a stop along the way...great hospitality, romance and delicious food and 5-star treatment await all who visit the Americus Garden Inn!
