VERY PLEASANT
By LeeAnn S, 10/10/06
I had the opportunity of staying here the end of June 2006. being handicapped and using a wheelchair, the room we received was nice and large and easy to navigate. The "free" breakfast was not very pleasing as it was all sweets. They could really use a restaurant in this facility. However, the facility and room were very clean and as a former Asst. Executive Housekeeper in the Hotel Business, I am quite picky. The personnel at the front desk were most helpful and pleasant. The price for this facility was high considering the area, but comparing it to other facilities in how clean and pleasant the stay was....well worth it too!!
My one gripe is that their handicap rooms are all "non-smoking", which as a smoker to me is discrimination. SMOKERS HAVE RIGHTS TOO!!!!
Despite that one flaw, I have re-booked this facility for an upcoming trip and will continue to do so provided the level of care and attention remains the same or elevates higher. You will not be disappointed here as compared to the other Holiday Inn in Meridian or the one in Philadelphia down the street from the Golden Moon Casino. Their Owner/Manager needs to take notes from the Owner/Manager of this facility.
If they had a restaurant on premises serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner or even just Breakfast and Dinner and perhpas a Lounge....I would have given them a 5 Star rating and given them high marks all the way around.
