Hampton Inn & Suites Providence Downtown RI, Fairbanks

I've stayed here twice since they've opened. It's formulaic Hampton Inn - no surprises - in a cool old building. Everything feels and smells new. Staff is great. Parking is expensive but it's downtown Providence. Highly recommended.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've visited. It is a very upscale, new hotel ('09) created from a former downtown bank building. The floorplans are well thought out and decor very modern. The service was very pleasant from the valets to the front desk to the breakfast attendants. The rooms were very luxurious and clean w/ all expected amenities. There is 1 room per floor that is much smaller than the others, however, the *12 rooms. Ask for *00, *01, *09, *10, or *11 which are the biggest rooms. You will be happy with any of them though. Close proximity to all of the downtown attractions. Only 2-3 blocks from the riverwalk, dozens of great restaurants, new downtown mall, & historic district. Valet parking at $25/day is worth it considering the neighboring garage rates. Use the complimentary hotel shuttle service in liue of taxi service or walking greater distances.
