The breads are good 2 other times chicken ok .eat bread. 1 bar in the loby good .the other by swim up bar they will not serve you you half to go around. they served no one the week we were there no swim up! I tiped 90% of time .he was still rude he has been there years he needs to go pick rocks .see if he gets tips there .Theres some one who would love to work there.in his place. FOOD take your own.no just dont go.find different resort. there is no light by the little step by the ping pong tables after 11 so on the way back from show time my wife triped and fell and a worker was walking a little bit behind us I said to him they need a light here to see the step he never even offered to help her get up! she was talking to two other people who also fell one was last year and they still dont have a light there. we WILL NOT GO BACK !!

level of hygine very poor. food unacceptable always cold and sparse maid helped herself tot your belongings. entertainment poor. atmosphere in dining room felt like concentration camp. the worst holiday destination we have ever visited a total waste of hard earned cash.

It was great.Food is good if your not fussy. The only thing I didn't like was one evening we ate at the Rancho for supper and there were lots and lots of musquitoes. This year I will bring bug repelant for the evenings and some afterbite. Other than that I can't wait to go. Lisa

This hotel is not acceptable. I just got back from Cuba Jan 8 2006. We had booked with Playa de oro. We had visable black mold in our room. The bed smelt like mildew. The hotel staff are SO rude and unhelpful. Example- upon check in the staff hands us a key with a number on it. No directions given, no smiles or have a nice stay, can I get someone to help you with your bags? Instead I asked where to go (there are three diffferent buildings) and I got a half point and a over there response! Then when you go to the bar you get - what do you want- in a gruff voice- but there is no menu. The food was Horrible!!! Nothing to eat if you dont get to the buffet early, they dont refill. people were eating the garnishes! Then the snack bar closes at 7,and they only serve bad fries and hot dots- so if you are on any sort of diet- god luck! I also got 90 bug or spider or flea bites on my legs in a matter of 2 days in my bed!!! The fintness and sauna has burned down. When I got back signature said that yu could have used a different hotels facitites, and there was a suttle- this was not happening. The lobby bathroom did not work. It was the only bathroom to use off the lobby bar. The toilets didnt flush, and people continued to use them, no one was looking after the cleanliness of this area. Do NOT stay here!!!

This is the best vacation ever. I had lots of yummy tea.the beds were great. bang bang. loving the vacation is was FAB-U-LOS! Want to go again. ;);) C'mon baby lets go! Gay honey-mooners, GO! Its awesome karen and I Had a BLAST! Well the food is wonderful get some pasta!!!! Anwyays i have to go to school now! :D

waoo ,I just wanna cry ,what a beu beach ,what a beu people ,if it is anybody at there is going to tell me tis is the number on beach in the holly world ,I've been in Hawai ,mexico ,sardegna,tenerife sur y norte ,dominicana ,puerto rico ,copacabana,san tomaz ,fiji ,caiman ,I'M talking about top beach and nothing is even closed , I'm right here in LAS VEGAS and crying , CUBA NUMBER ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Inside of rooms and overall cleanness of hotels is terrible !! The outside is kept nice and clean. For example: Sliding doors to elevators with mirrors were never cleaned for the whole week we were there; all that was needed was to have someone clean them daily.

My family who consists of myself,spouse and 9 year old child stayed at this resort from Sept 6-13/12. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms and we were very impressed. Prior to staying at this resort, I read a lot of mixed reviews so was not sure what to expect. The rooms are very clean, we did not see any bugs or mold. We had an air conditioned room and there were about 20-25 channels on TV (granted most were spanish). The hotel staff are great and worked hard to ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one. Due to the time of year that we chose to vacation, there was not much for kids to do in terms of a kids club but my 9 year old still had a blast! He went to the pool and beach which was great because the weather is so hot. We found the resort to be quiet in Early September as well it is on the outskirts of Veradero and not downtown so if you are looking to relax and just "veg out", that is the best time to go. We found the food to be good. I know many people are not satisfied with the food but we went prepared knowing that we are in a 3rd world country where their resources are limited. This resort had 1 buffet and 2 a la carte restaurant. We ate at all 3 and were able to find food that we liked as well as try new things. Our son is a picky eater and he was full everyday because there is something for everyone. The food ranged from international to cuban. They also had stations where the food was prepared in front of you. Yohandri was one of our waiters at the a la carte restaurant and he was fantastic and really took pride in his work. A trip to Cuba is what you make it. This is my 2nd time travelling to Cuba and the 1st resort I stayed at made this one look like The Marriott. This was the 1st trip for my son and spouse and they loved it. For all 3 of us the trip worked out to be $492 each (kids stay and eat free so we just paid the airfare for our son) so we really can't complain. If you have high standards in terms of comfort and food then I would recommend a more lavish trip; Cuba is not the place for you.

This is a great hotel, entertainers fantastic, drinks and food great also. Last time i went with IHTWORLD travel great serivices for destinations assist. So they are located in one of the best side of beach of Varadero. Own disco, near of dolphins services and Marina Chapelin.

The beach was absolutly beautiful!! Food was 'ok' but what do you expect for a 3rd world country?? Staff was friendly except for the front desk...I don't know what their problem was but they never cheered up at all. Rooms were nice...I never encountered any bugs or smelt mildew. I would definitly go back!
