Executive Villas Jesmond, Newcastle

Originally I found this motel on wotif.com and that a one bedroom apartment came up at under $110.00 per night but by the time I booked it was up to $135.00 per night. The motel website quoted the same price as wotif.com site so I booked direct, requesting an upstairs, non smoking apartment. I arrived extremely late, 1.30am in the morning. The receptionist SMS me two methods of obtaining access to my apartment. It work like clock works and was able to enter my room without fuss. It did take me a couple of minutes to locate my apartment, the numbers are illuminated and easy to read, for old people like myself. Although the motel looks a bit corporate, the staff are really friendly and mostly locals. When I described a pub that I hadn't been to in over 25 years to the receptionist, he was able to give me directions without hesitation. Ideal location for business. I was able to walk to the University where I was attending a conference. After the conference I called the motel and asked for a taxi number, it was raining cats and dogs, the manager answered and so kindly offered to pick me up from the University and bring me back to the Motel. Totally unexpected, great service. I have emailed my experience to all my work colleges who frequent Newcastle regularly. I’ll be back for sure.  

Stayed two nights here and had a lovely time. I would highly recommend it. The pool although small is great with the outdoor heated spa. We enjoyed a BBQ with our friends that were in another apartment. There is a beautiful park that you are able to walk to and a great pub opposite. The staff were very happy and helpful. A lovely spot to relax. Rooms were modern and simple, the bathroom very spacious and I loved the sunken spa. Plenty of room. Only negative would be that the pillows were too big and soft for my liking. Otherwise all very good.

We stayed here, a family of 4, two boys ages 10 & 6 for four nights in April 2010. This is a lovely motel, and the staff and facilities were excellent. They have a nice BBQ area and swimming pool. We ate dinner in the Jesmond Hotel on the first night of our stay and it was one of the better hotel restaurants we have experienced. The food was very good quality and there was a very good selection. The Motel is within walking distance to Stocklands Shopping Centre. The Apartments are large enough for a family of 4. We would recommend this motel for anyone considering Newcastle.

Perfect location for walking to the Jesmond Park and for walking to the main shopping area. We had a standard spa Apartment which overlooked the swimming pool and outdoor spa. Double glazing excellent - did not hear anything at night from the street. Bed was extremely comfortable and we had 3 nights of very restful sleep . Bathroom was spacious for this standard sized apartment. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay again and use the spa facilities again.

Just a little note to acknowledge the cleanliness of the Jesmond Villas room. It was exceptionally clean and the beds very comfortable!! Also I'd like to thank the Executive Villas Manager for his understanding and professionalism with dealing with the unfortunate problems of location and constant noise. Thank you very much for the alternative accommodation at Dawson St, Cooks Hill. It was wonderful and I will be recommending it to friends and family and booking here in the future! I was a student from Russia that was sent here to do some work for a mining company. I was put up in this third rate place for many months. at a Corporate rate ( $110) a night . Despite the 1000's they would have pocketed, the cleanliness, service was very poor. The room was smoky and I found two srynges under the bed- obviously they don't vacuum. Quite often they would not clean out my room . The crockery was missing so I would have to request it at reception. I was happy to leave.

very horrible rude service. some rooms are so small you get bruised coz there are unwanted furniture thrown in and so small place to move around. incase you want to leave midway you are sort of theatened too. i will NOT recommend this place to anyone.
