Mainstay Suites Airport, Roanoke

It seemed to be a very nice hotel, clean, nice rooms, friendly clerk atcheck in. However, check their "pet welcome" policy closely.after checking in, as we walked through the lobby the manager on duty informed us cats were not allowed. She would not even make a reservation for us at another hotel, something Holliday Inns would be happy too even if we did not have confirmed reservations. after some further discussion, she finally called the General Manager who said it would be ok to stay this one time. Themoral of the story is don't take pets welcomeat face value, read the fine print.

I stayed at the hotel for an interview in Roanoke. I wore a very sentimental bracelet that my fiance gave me. I took it off at the hotel room and forgot it there when I left in the morning. When I called the next day about the bracelet it had not been turned in. No one had stayed in my room..the only person in it was the housekeeper. When I spoke to the staff about my lost bracelet they became very defensive and irritated with me. My bracelet still has not been returned.

We liked it. Everyone was very nice. Great customer service. Ed, the Manager was especially nice to my wife. She wants to visit Roanoke again soon!

I was a guest at the Mainstay in roanoke airport and the management Edward wray was Very disrespectful my church members and I went the weekend April 3rd thru 5th and wasnt please with one of the rooms which wasnt a big problem but my Pastor and I was spoke to very disrespectful by the General Manager Mr Wray he was raising his voice and even got out of his chair and leaned over the counter as if he would hit me. We explain the policy said if not satisfied they will refund 100% he told us he'll give us some off but he will not refund the money and we could leave the property regardless that we paid our money. I promise anyone that is going to Roanoke,va donot I said donot stay at this hotel. p.s. there's another comment telling how he act as well with them.

No negatives. Excellent facility and hospitality. I enjoyed the layout of the suites and the amenities available in them. My wife and I look forward to each visit. My preferred place to stay when in Roanoke.

Everything about this place was excellent especially the reservation made by phone to the front desk. The attendant was extremely nice and accomodating and she was on duty when we checked in and remembered our phone conversation. Great deluxe continental breakfast, saved me about fifty bucks( 5 of us ). I'm going to always look for Mainstay Suites from now on as my place of choice. Spotted one also in Pigeons Forge. See you again in June of next year if not sooner. By the way, we were there on the 15th of August on our way to Pigeons Forge, TN. Also excellent internet service (FREE)

If you decide to stay at this facility be prepared to pay extra. We were charged $50 "for moving the furniture". Worst of all nobody informed about these charges and I accidentally detected it. When I approached the manager re. this he started yelling and screaming as if that will justify this. I will never return there.

The service, cleanliness, location (across the street from an airport) were terrible. The walls are so thin you can hear others using the facilities in their bathrooms. When you complain to the manager, he shouts at you to intimidate so he does not have to reimburse you for the inconvenience of your stay. I never received the refund he promised and they guarantee 100% satisfaction. Like I said stay as a LAST resort.

This was our first time in a Main Stay Suites. We were IMPRESSED and AMAZED at the suite. Our suite had a separate bedroom and living room along with a full kitchen and it was perfect for us and our 2 young daughters. It is located on the outer perimeter parking lot of a mall. There are several restaurants within 1/4 of a mile away. We will definitely stay here again. The free breakfast was great too.

Being a frequent traveler to the Roanoke Area I'm always searching for the best value for my dollar. HANDS DOWN, the Mainstay is just that! Great staff, wonderful rooms, Oh and FREE FOOD! If your not staying here already, you need to get there!
