Get what you pay for...

We decided to try this hotel to save a few bucks. The room was not quite we expected. The bed was a bit hard, the visitor basket with coffee and other items had been opened and not replaced, the toliet handle was broken and many other little things.
I was recommended to stay here because they had free comp. breakfast, free popcorn, and free cookies in the lobby. The popcorn machine was never used while we were there (the desk said the would pop some but didn't), never any cookies, and at breakfast there were 15 unsupervised children in the breakfast room making almost impossible to get anything without waiting 10 minutes.
We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Select on Lake Eastbrook/28th (5 minutes away) which is much nicer and well worth the $10 more. If you reserve online 2 weeks prior, the Holiday Inn Select is only $67/night even though it could easily pass as a $100 room. Trust me, it's well worth it if you can pay the few extra bucks and want a much nicer stay.
