Dorrington Inn & Chalets, Camp Connell

We loved the location, the beautiful grounds, cute chalet with character, very nice breakfast buffet with hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, excellent coffee, croissants, muffins, etc. Really nice innkeeper, he will bend over backwards to make your stay pleasant. Don't expect a luxury place- this is the country, these chalets are 50 yrs old and the entire place is a constant maintainence effort. But it is quiet, clean, great for people with dogs, and we really enjoyed it.

Fun little cabin/chalets just outside of Big Trees State Park. Very friendly owner, cable tv, free wifi, gas fireplace in each cabin, private shower/bathroom. Will definitely come back!

If you need a nice quiet, away from the city, among the big trees, modest place to stay, that allows dogs, this place is for you. We had a great time at the Dorrington Inn & Chalets over Memorial weekend. Dino, the inn keeper, was fantastic. He was very responsive when I inquired about staying there, greeted us, and gave us tips on where to take our 2 dogs hiking. The chalets are modest and do not share any walls. Dogs are allowed and it is a great place to take them. There is a large field for them to run in. BBQ's to use, volleyball net, horseshoe pit, and picnic tables. We were within 25 min of Murphy's, where we did some great wine tasting.
