Loved Casa Luna
By ,
My husband and I loved everything about Casa Luna --- except the fact that we had to leave and return home! The staff was excellent --- very friendly and accommodating. The facility was gorgeous and very clean. We loved the outstanding breakfasts and the fact that we could order food any time day or night. Our room was utterly romantic and it was difficult to get out of bed -- even to lounge in our private patio or the rooftop terrace. Casa Luna was better than any place we have ever stayed before and I think it will be difficult to find a better place anywhere else. We absolutely have no reservations about recommending it to others.

A welcome oasis
By ,
Beautiful old world charm. Beautifully decorated, rooms were a lot larger than I expected and they were all decorated differently. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. All rooms are set up so there is privacy. Breakfast was wonderful and the best cofffee and hot cocoa I've ever had. Would highly recommend. I stayed at the Quebrada location and visited the Pila Seca location. Both were wonderful. I felt like I was staying at a friends home. Can't wait to go back.

\"Great decor, not so great on details\"
By ,
We were on our honeymoon and arrived in San Miguel after spending five days in Mexico City. Both my husband and I travel (work and vacation), and had done research before deciding where to stay. The property on the outside doesnt say much and the inside is a curiously woven laberynth of rooms and nooks, charmingly decorated. The high-point of our stay in Casa Luna was the decor, which has an ecclectic mix of Mexican crafts with bright colors. The Mexican staff was nice within normal parameters, the owner and the manager were rather cold to us. We were disappointed at the cleanliness of the room, the floor and the area rug in our room were dirty. The room itself had a good quality bed and towels, lacked any type of extras. Having a book on San Miguel in the room would have been nice. The breakfast was OK, while the dishes were tasty, it was heavy (high fat, Mexican dishes) and after a couple days, we missed the healthier choices. We felt the rates were high and that asking us to tip the staff when we left was insulting, as it was to charge $2 for a photocoped review of restaurants in San Miguel. Needless to say, having some sort of honeymoon welcome present would have been nice - we had to buy the flowers for our room.

Like living in your own hacienda
By ,
The food was the best we had in San Miguel and they provided recipes too! The staff was ready to help with any request. Comfy bed. We really liked not having to pass a front desk to get to our room after a night on the town. We stayed in the "Yellow" room. We took Spanish classes for a week at Centro Bilingue school and enjoyed doing homework on the rooftop terrace. Would definitely go back!

Great place for first-timers'SMA visit
By ,
The decoration in Casa Luna's Quebrada (their 2nd property) is great and the staff was charming and helpful. Our "Arboles" room was v. spacious; food served on site is fabulous; the building is always quiet in spite of being on a busy street. The central square, the Jardin, is less than 5 minutes away. WiFi worked well. No phones or t.v.'s in the room, which is fine with me.

I loved it, absolutely loved it.
By ,
I liked the location, the staff, the food, the room, the view - everything. It was an easy walk to the Jardin area, but in doing so, we passed fabulous restaurants, bars and shops. I found the entire area of San Miguel a very desirable place to spend time. I look forward to returning and staying at Casa Luna. Maggie
