\"Great decor, not so great on details\"

We were on our honeymoon and arrived in San Miguel after spending five days in Mexico City. Both my husband and I travel (work and vacation), and had done research before deciding where to stay. The property on the outside doesnt say much and the inside is a curiously woven laberynth of rooms and nooks, charmingly decorated. The high-point of our stay in Casa Luna was the decor, which has an ecclectic mix of Mexican crafts with bright colors.
The Mexican staff was nice within normal parameters, the owner and the manager were rather cold to us.
We were disappointed at the cleanliness of the room, the floor and the area rug in our room were dirty. The room itself had a good quality bed and towels, lacked any type of extras. Having a book on San Miguel in the room would have been nice.
The breakfast was OK, while the dishes were tasty, it was heavy (high fat, Mexican dishes) and after a couple days, we missed the healthier choices.
We felt the rates were high and that asking us to tip the staff when we left was insulting, as it was to charge $2 for a photocoped review of restaurants in San Miguel. Needless to say, having some sort of honeymoon welcome present would have been nice - we had to buy the flowers for our room.
