Four Points by Sheraton Louisville Airport, Louisville

First the positives: We had a special requirement that no aerosols/fresheners be used in our room. When we first arrived it had JUST been sprayed. However, they offered us another room but we were able to open the window and air out the room & were ok. We did get a small credit for this since we had called ahead with specific instructions. The room was clean & nice with a small fridge & microwave. The cleaning staff was great about the sprays the rest of the week. The front desk staff was very helpful with our questions. The negative: we specifically chose this hotel because of the shuttle service to/from the Expo Center during the World's Championship Horseshow. These shows can run VERY late. At the end of a show on Friday night we called for a pickup at 11:30 only to be told that the shuttle stopped at 11! They advised calling a cab - cabs are not allowed to the pickup site! We ended up having to walk about 1/2 mile & my companion has SEVERE arthritis in her feet. There were at least 10 other people in our situation as well. We were told it is "corporate policy" to not run the shuttle after 11 and that there were no exceptions. Last year they had no problems picking us up after 11. Why the change? So, if you aren't going to be out late or if you don't need the shuttle, the hotel is nice & clean, most of the staff is friendly & helpful, and the hotel is in a convenient location.

Visited Louisville during Memorial Day weekend in May. The hotel was clean and quiet, everyone was very helpful and friendly and we liked the size of the room we reserved. The accessibility of the hotel to the interstate and major attractions was a plus. The following Monday, the dining hostess was very helpful to my family during breakfast, making our stay that more special. You really do put a special touch on everything you do! Thank you.

We are always very pleased with Country Inns & Suites, and this was no exception. I took our two young boys on a weekend away and we visited the zoo, etc. It was a very relaxing weekend. The best thing about these hotels are the attentive service and the comfortable rooms. Our room was much larger than we expected, I reserved a 1-br suite but it was actually a three room suite. The little ones loved this, and designated one room the "reading/work room" and another the "play room". All the rooms come with microwave and fridge which definitely helps keep the eating out bills down. The hotel has a nice indoor pool and spa, but that is really it. If you've got a busy itinerary and don't plan on spending much time in the hotel, that's great. But we arrived and spent the first afternoon/evening without anything to do. There's not much nearby and nothing within walking distance. Six Flags is just down the road, though. Breakfast was very nice and there was a lot of food. Check-in and check-out were great and the staff was very helpful. Price was right, too. We plan on returning here.
