Great place!
By ,
I loved this motel! The rooms are quite small but very comfortable and cute. Good location in Custer with several restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay in this motel again! Desk clerk very nice when checking in; motel office closes 'early' but wasn't a problem for me.

Noisy neighbors make for bad vacation
By ,
the price was alright but the doors adjacent to ours was constantly being banged by neighbors in number 3 room. They went in and out of their room every 5 minutes it seemed until after 2 AM eastern time!. (Which we are on) No phone in room to call front desk. Should have stayed one night. Very frustrating. I got 4 hours of sleep only! Why are people inconsiderate of others? If we would have had our own cottage it may have been better. Custer isn't the center of it all. We should have stayed one night and moved on to Keystone or Hill City. Live and learn. Hotel life is great if you have a quiet room

Highly Recommend this motel
By ,
My granddaughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Mile Hi Motel. It is very clean. Rooms are small but for just the two of us it was perfect. Felt more like a cabin then motel. Has a refridgerator in the room, so that saved us money. Table with umbrellas outside so in the evening it was nice to sit. Owners were very hospitable and helpful in telling us information about different attractions. Lots of eating areas close by. My granddaughters favorite thing it is just down the street from Bedrock city. When booking on line had a $5.00 a night discount. Inexpensive but very nice. We will be back, and have been telling everyone we know to stay there.

Excellent location. Super clean. Good beds. Internet. Rooms are not huge, that old 40's feel. Management personnel were really great. Always available when you had a question. Home like atmosphere.Nice to set outside in the evening and talk to other guests. We'll be back. Dale& Larry Linderman

Great value in the heart of the Black Hills
By ,
Our room was spotless, the service friendly, and the location unbeatable. Custer is the best "home base" in the Black Hills, with Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Custer State Park, and the Crazy Horse Memorial all located nearby. Rooms are compact, but then again, you come to the Hills to get outdoors, not hole up in a hotel room!

Great place to stay in Custer!
By ,
The owners are very friendly and helpful. Nice quaint little cottages. My husband and I went for our honeymoon last year and stayed there during the rally-very reasonable, clean and within walking distance to shops and restaurants-to the downtown area. We are definitely coming back again and when we are not camping we will stay here! I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Custer area!

No Next Time
By ,
The location in town can't be beat. The rooms are small with no telephone. The bathrooms are tiny. The showers were made for a 5 ft tall person. They do supply towels to clean your motorcycle. No discounts at all.

Friendliest place to stay in Custer
By ,
The owners were so polite and accomodating. The rooms were so clean and nice, we had a coffee pot, refridgerator, and high speed internet access. We will be back to the Black Hills, not enough time to do everything this year, and we will definitely be staying here again. The Johnsons Nevada
