Nice and clean with friendly service.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/21/10
We stayed overnight for an early flight out of Ft. Lauderdale Airport. We didn't arrived until about 10 PM; the desk clerk was very nice and friendly. The entire hotel was very clean and neat and there was even a free airport shuttle and a free breakfast, which was more than just coffee and muffins. It was a good value for the location and again, we appreciated the free shuttle to the airport. We stay at Sleep Inn's when traveling and we really enjoyed our visit to this one in Dania Beach. I'd give it an A+.

Clean, convenient, good breakfast
By Ruth, 2/16/10
My husband and I spent one night here February 2010 before flying out of the Ft. Lauderdale airport. The accommodations were quite clean. The bedding soft and comfortable. There was a pretty big selection to choose from for the breakfast that’s included. Staff was helpful and there were a few restaurants within walking distance. A good deal, we thought. Had we not had a car rental to return, we would have used the shuttle service, which seemed very accommodating. We did not have any bad experiences at the breakfast or elsewhere, like the March '09 writer had, so maybe they resolved the problems.

Less Than Thrilled
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/6/09
The pool was very nice and the room was clean. The pool lounge furniture needs to be updated as most were broken and worn out. The front desk staff were pleasant enough. Free shuttle is advertised, however, if your name is not on the list early enough, you will have to pay for a cab. The "Breakfast Nazi" as our group referred to her as, needs to be terminated. When questioned by us, she admitted that she was not a "people person" and did not enjoy working with people. She has the breakfast area completely shut down by 930 sharp. We were leaving to meet our cruise ship and leaving at 550 am, she had all of the muffins, fruit and juice out, however, she refused to allow my two young children to have a muffin prior to the posted 630am time. She had my children in tears as they were so tired and hungry. Customer service IS NOT high on her priority list. The rates were on the high side for the services provided/not provided, the rest of the staff was reasonable, however, something needs to be done in regard to the "breakfast nazi's" attitude toward paying customers.

May 5-7 2006 Air Show Weekend Trip
By Jake, 5/6/08
Hi I stayed here for 2 nights for the Air & Sea Show at Ft. Lauderdale Beach! It is a beautiful brand new hotel! When we walked in everything was new, the rooms were very nice and clean. The morning breakfast was very good, the only problem was the lady that works with continental breakfast is VERY RUDE! But other than that its Wonderful!

What Happened to my stuff?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/07
On my work trips I take a framed picture of my wife with me. After a day of work I return to the room and find the photo on the desk and the frame gone. I report to the front desk which was no help at all. You can stay here if don't leave any of your personal things in the room.

Great find!
By Vickie, 4/18/07
Travel to Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area on business almost weekly and finding this Inn was a real surprise. Front desk staff members are most helpful. Rooms are spotless. Great prices. No frills, but great for business travel, or family vacation. Proximity (approx 3 minute drive) to Sheridan Street beach makes it possible to walk the broadwalk without paying the high prices to stay right on the beach. Will definitely return, again and again.

Good Overnight Stay
By Pat, 3/8/07
This is a clean, neat hotel. It is close to the Airport, which was important to us. However, we booked this hotel through our Travel Agent and we thought we were guaranteed for late arrival. They had to give our credit card info when they booked the room. What we didn't realize is that we evidently had to personally call and give our information too. I don't understand why this happened, but the hotel gave away our reservation. They had one room left - it was a suite, and they gave it to us at a lesser rate (not the same rate as the regular room though). It worked out, but could have been disasterous.

Thumbs up
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/18/05
I read the reviews of this hotel before I made my reservation. Of those in the area, this was one of the only ones with reasonable reviews. The desk staff isn't overly welcoming but they are efficient and polite. As for the room, when I walked in, it smelled citrusy fresh - as though it was just cleaned....but the smell did not knock you over. Everything was fresh and clean. They don't have a big continental breakfast but I was pleasantly surprised that I could make my own Belgium waffle vs the frozen waffles I've had at other hotels. Bottom line, I would stay here again.

Perfect for 1 night pre-cruise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/05
Located in a quiet semi-residential area, this hotel is perfect for a comfortable night prior to leaving on a cruise out of Port Everglades, but I couldn't imagine spending more than 1 night there. In fact, it seemed everyone at this hotel was leaving on a cruise the next day. The rooms are clean, comfortable but don't expect any frills. Called suites, the rooms have a partial wall between the beds and a sitting area, but it is really one room. There is a small outdoor pool and exercise room. A complimentary breakfast left a lot to be desired, but certainly didn't ruin our appetite for the onboard pre sail lunch buffet. A large Walgreens is located right next to the hotel and a nice Italian restaurant is across the street. All in all, a perfect pre-cruise choice at a very reasonable price.
